Everything about this property was delightful, the warm welcome, the service throughout my stay, the food and the ambience. Sometimes as a single traveller I feel as though I am not entirely welcome but certainly that was not the case at the Black Horse. Lovely, efficient but friendly staff and everywhere spotlessly clean. Traditional country pub with tasteful updates

Friendly staff, clean & comfortable room ideal for a one night stay. Restaurant looked lovely but we didn’t have time to try it as arrived late, but would definitely return as the pub is situated on a lovely little village with lots of parking.

Overall a good stay as the bed was very comfortable & the food we could not fault We did have a mix up with our food in the Restaurant where only one meal arrived instead of two but Chantel the Manager sorted that for us in a very professional manner & we found her very nice & an excellent Manager The only disappointment we had was the misleading photos you are showing on Hotels.com as in reality the decor has changed totally & everywhere is decorated dark green to include ceilings doors radiators walls which makes the building very dingey so perhaps you should change your website to give people a true picture

Adored my time here! My room was lovely and cozy, I wish I would have stayed longer. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the food was amazing!

Lovely accommodation in a nice village

Everything was excellent. Room was clean, spacious and well set up. Food at dinner and breakfast was all great. Definitely recommend!

Delightful inn in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. Comfortable rooms. Plentiful parking. Excellent gastropub cuisine. Best of all are the wonderful staff. Smiley and anxious to please. Huge thanks to them all. Will certainly stay again. Highly recommended.

Outstanding hotel and service from all staff

One night stop over from Scotland to southern England. The room was very good, nice bed, great shower - very comfortable. Lots of people using the restaurant and bar. Very good pint of English Beer (Timmy Taylor); and staff helpful throughout my stay. I’ll use this place again, and maybe stay longer.✔️

The staff, food, room everything was first class. The attention to detail, beautiful wine glasses in the room, hot chocolate and curly Wurly's, the face cloth and dressing gowns all made the stay more special
