Nice stay, hotel a little tired looking, breakfast could not fault. Stayed here before and would still stay again

Great place to stay in Harrogate. Great room lovely & clean. Pub next door as part of the hotel. Right in the centre of Harrogate. Perfect position to explore this lovely spa town. Highly Recommend

Very nice hotel

Lovely hotel and very helpful staff .We were put in a lovely room on the quiet side, it was a very large room but a wall at the window which made me feel slightly claustrophobic, we were moved to a room above the bar which was lovely light and airy and the noise from the bar and beer garden wasn't a problem, it was actually nice to hear some atmosphere from Outside and was quiet by 11.30 .Had the best night's sleep in the massive bed and the fan provided really helped .We did not experience any food from the bar or the restaurant but both were absolutely stunning venues. The outside bar garden is beautiful and plenty of seats with a lovely atmosphere flowing through from the bar ,not loud or louty clients just people enjoying a nice quiet drink .I'd definitely recommend this hotel ,very easy for town and the train station.

Staff were very helpful at reception and in the restaurant. Lovely breakfast and plenty of choice. Food was also very good. Would recommend to friends.Our room was very small and wardrobe was not tall enough to hang clothes.

A lovely clean room and super friendly staff. Only the bathroom was looking a little dated & in need of some light refurbishing. Would stay again happily :)

Very disappointed after staying at this hotel for one night recently. Due to being woken up by noise at 6am from people putting bottles and refuse in bins just below our bedroom window, which was open due to the room being too warm. When reporting to reception they said nothing they could done about it as other people used their bins. We shall not be visiting this hotel again.

Nice sized bedroom with roomy bathroom.Shower gel replenished daily,as were the biscuits!The room was quiet and comfortable.The hotel is in a excellent location in a leafy part of town,just a short walk away from bars,pubs,shops and restaurants.Plenty of room to sit outside,if the weather is good. Parking is plentiful,but a rip off at £15 a day.If you are staying for more than two nights,it should be free,after two nights.Overall a very good hotel.

The room had damp and wood chip wallpaper that was hanging down from the ceiling!! At a cost of £145 per night !! I would have been better camping on the stray We moved rooms and guess what it was just as bad . It’s now reached the end of its life and needs a complete renovation of the hotels bedrooms or reduce the room prices to around £50 a night Stay at your own risk I won’t be I don’t leave reviews but I don’t want anyone else to waste there money

Staff were friendly and restaurant was lovely. Very disappointed in the hotel however. Bed covers were dirty, the shower was just a trickle and the room was stiffling hot. The kitchen extractor fans for the restaurant were outside the window so room smelt of gas.

Just brilliant!

Greeted by lovely staff. Room was very pokey with a flood in the bathroom. The receptionist, although came across as slightly reluctant to move us (due to the hotel being fully booked) did do his best to move us. Quite a bit of noise from 5am from local businesses emptying bottles etc into their bins. Breakfast very good and tasty but could have done with a better fruit selection. All staff very friendly and accommodating. Great bar area and food. Onsite parking could be cheaper as £15 per night is a bit steep especially with the hotel accommodation being so expensive.

Room was very clean. There were one or two small signs of wear and tear which will need attention at some point. We did expect a little fridge seeing as it was a deluxe room. Other than than the McRae suite was lovely .

Very good, recommended. Lovely for a couples weekend. Lively bar atmosphere with an older crowd in the main.

Lovely stay. In the annex and the room had recently been refurbished. Great breakfast and evening meal. Close to everything.

The hotel’s location is excellent, but unfortunately that’s where the positives ended for me. If you park in the hotel car park, your first impression isn’t great. The entrance is at the back of the building, past the kitchen area, leading to a rather dark and uninspiring reception entrance. Check-in was efficient enough. My room felt dark and was extremely warm. There was no air conditioning and no complimentary bottled water in the room. The pillows were also quite cheap and uncomfortable. On the first morning I mentioned to reception how hot the room had been and asked if there was air conditioning. I was told there wasn’t, so I asked if a fan could be put in my room. I naturally expected it would be waiting there when I returned that evening, but it wasn’t. The following morning I raised it again and explained that I’d now spent a second uncomfortably hot night without the fan I’d requested. I was surprised to be told that guests are expected to collect a full-size fan from reception themselves. What disappointed me most was that, even after it was obvious I was unhappy and had now gone two nights without the fan I’d specifically asked for, nobody offered to take it up to my room. It would have taken a member of staff only a couple of minutes, but instead I was expected to carry it upstairs myself. That felt like a very poor level of customer service and left me feeling that guest comfort simply wasn’t a priority.

We stayed during the recent heatwave and the fan in the room was very poor, which resulted in 2 sleepless nights!

Just one thing was the room we were in 411 was very hot, when asked for a fan on the first night they didn’t have any left and our windows only opened a few inches on the second night we got a fan but it was broken with a crack on the bottom so made to much noise to use. It wonderful sleep unfortunately.
