The hotel is in a good, central location and has free onsite parking. We had a twin room which had a compact bathroom with an excellent shower. There was an unusual noise (possibly from air conditioning) which went on all night and was mildly annoying (avoid Room 18 if you are a light sleeper). We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. Overall, a value for money stay and a convenient place to stay for Thorney Bay Beach parkrun.

Great stay and close to shops

Having stayed at the Oyster Fleet Hotel on several occasions. I found the hotel in a great place for travelling out and around Canvey Island. It has nice clean rooms and comfortable beds, which are well presented on your arrival. Having tea and coffee making facilities in the room. With an onsite bar and dining facilities in the bar makes for a comfortable stay. This along with on site free parking along with disabled parking bays. The staff are very helpful and polite, making the hotel have a good all around atmosphere.

Stayed twice before here, both times a cramped room with single beds. This time opted for a double bed room and what a difference. Spacious, more modern facilities, more room space, better all round.

Just one small disappointment - we were looking forward to spending the end of our last evening in the bar. Closing time of 10:30 was on the paperwork given to us at check-in but bar actually shut at 09:50. There were other customers there so not sure of the reason.

Great for what we needed. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Clean room and friendly staff

The room was as expected for the price we paid. Towels and bedding were good. A lovely view of the lake from our window. We were only there one night and just to sleep, so can't comment on other facilities.

Ideal for visiting relatives niece pub a bit crowded with little kids but a nice restaurant attached

Very basic room but served it’s purpose

Room was very cold (14 degrees) when arrived at 20:00. Went to desk and asked why it was so cold. Said you had to turn radiator on. Took over an hour to warm up at all and still in reached a max 17degree, during night. Duvet not good enough for that temp. The pipes for hot water kept making noises (alarm loud) 3/4 times during night. Working tv but very small and no mini fridge. Just seems off for a 8/10.

Staff good but in general the whole place needs a total refurbishment.felt like it needed a good clean.People were constantly smoking drugs outside our entrance to room 33.

We arrived at the hotel at around 4pm and checked in and were allocated a room, the room had a terribly strong smell of sewage and drains, this room was not fit for habitation and should never have been offered to anyone and was clearly not checked. We returned to reception and were told this was the only double available and were offered a family room on the second floor. The room was freezing cold 5 degrees and the heating had just been turned on. The bedding was cold and damp. It was so cold that we went out and bought an electric blanket as we had no choice but to stay in the room as we had a function locally and had travelled a long distance to be there. There was no heating in the bathroom which was also freezing cold, so much so that my wife was unable to take a shower. The temperature of the room was 16 degrees at 7 oclock. We were given a small portable heater. Our weekend was spoiled by this disappointing and unacceptable situation and we want a refund.

Room was quite clean but a bit dated has some cracks in walls I opened the tv cabinet and it came off in my hand but the worst bit when you washed your hands if you ran the hot water for a minute or so then the I’m assuming it was the pipes made a loud noise for about 5 minutes

Still no WiFi in rooms

The room was quite outdated, cold even though the heater was on full and no soundproofing so woken up several times from other rooms having showers, toilets etc. Also no WiFi in the rooms and the TV was very small (18") yet in the far corner of the room.
