Beautiful hotel with great grounds and stunning views. Rooms are well maintained and the air con was well and truly enjoyed in the 34’c heat this weekend! Great food at the bar and quiet rooms

We have reported a fridge problem in our room as soon we arrived. The receptionist mentioned that the maintenance team has already left but someone will come and have a look. Noone came even though i have enquired twice again. Each time i was told that a person will come to check the fridge as soon as they finish in a different room. Nobody came at all.the next morning at checkout i have mentioned this again to the receptionist whose attitude was not elegant and pretty arrogant towards me. He even said if i wanted chilled water i could just walk into reception and help myself with complimentary water. No i don’t have to get up and go in the middle of the night to the lobby to help myself with water. I think this should be in the comfort of my room being able to put water in a fridge especially in these hot days that we are currently having in the UK. It truly made my stay miserable there. I had much better experience at the Tylney Hall.

Beautiful surroundings and gardens. I stayed in the stable rooms as had dogs with me. It was clean and comfortable with a much needed fan in the room. It was a relaxing get away with lovely walks and gardens.

Only one unfortunate member of staff trying to cover a busy reception at prime check in time. AC not working, looked at another room but no better. Sewage smell in bathroom. Electrical towel rail in bathroom set at scalding and can't switch off! Someone else's shampoo bottle in bathroom. Too few staff in bar. Such potential but mismanaged. Food very average.

Without doubt the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The grounds are spectacular, the rooms were lovely, beer was crisp and cold, and breakfast was perfect. The staff were just fabulous, kind and attentative. We won't hesitate to book again when we are next down south!

Great hotel - beautiful gardens, great staff and very reasonably priced for what you get. Only criticism is the staff seemed quite stretched whilst also taking it in their stride so it meant occasional waits. Also no A/C on hottest weekend of year. Overall fantastic stay, would come back.

All staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. There was a wedding onsite. There could have been a few more staff particularly during the dinner service. Love the products available in our room. Beautiful surroundings.

Clean and comfortable room. Well decorated and offered everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

Breakfast buffet was lovely, warm and well stocked with everything you'd expect for a full English. The staff member who welcomed and waiting for us was lovely and friendly. Bar staff were a little slow and kept disappearing to other parts of the hotel to get things. A couple came across as a little moody at times.

Lovely birthday stay, we stayed in a suite room 207, lovely huge suite with fabulous corner view of gardens. Huge bath and shower, all spotlessly clean. Staff are attentive and friendly and even had a birthday card which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed a few glasses of champagne in the Gloriana Bar too. Breakfast was fabulous, good quality and choice. Thanks for another lovely stay

Great Location, great building

Beautiful old property in extensive grounds Food was good Service excellent particularly for evening meal in the restaurant We booked a suite which was fabulous, we were upgraded to the bridal suite which was quite spectacular Thank you for a fabulous stay

Hotel grounds are always impressive and views of the gardens from the main house are worth the upgrade.

Clean room, very helpful and welcoming staff. Great food for breakfast and dinner.

I will always choose the Elvetham when in this area now as it scores well above other hotels in the area

No pool there but is definitely pet friendly

This is a gem of a hotel. We stayed from Sunday until Tuesday on half board and enjoyed great food, excellent customer service and a wonderful deluxe double room in the main building facing the lawns. Full of history, the hotel provides a free audio tour. There is also an exclusive 5k walk around quiet country lanes and fields and bluebell woods. The manager is a fountain of knowledge of the history of the building.

Great variety

Great stay in the best suite (other rooms not so much) and waking up to go for a walk in the mornings in the beautiful grounds of the property is the definition of a getaway.
