Nice, traditional pub/restaurant with hotel rooms in a separate building. Safe car park with lots of spaces. Great food in the restaurant and really nice, helpful staff. Good spacious bedroom with tv, fridge, iron/board. Only downside was incredibly creaky and noisy floorboards, so could hear all guests coming and going and very aware that ours were noisy too, so trying to creep about if needing the loo during the night. Also, our walk-in shower door didn’t seal, so bathroom floor flooded quickly. Had to turn the shower off to give it time to empty before finishing our showers. Very easy check-in and out and would visit again.

My stay was perfect, the room was clean, comfortable and little touches like a coffee machine, complementary water in the fridge was great. The shower, a walk in was amazing. Had evening dinner the food was delicious and service quick and lovely staff serving. The English breakfast was filing and perfectly cooked. We were there for a funeral, and the hotel was hosting the wake, very happy with the hospitality of the staff. Plenty of parking, would love to return. Well done everyone

Great room, plenty of parking

Second time of visiting. Lovely place and always lovely staff. Room is beautiful but cleaning standards could be better. Thick dust on the top of the shower and glass shelves. The bath has a dirty rim where the overflow is. The skirtings have a lot of dust. We love this place and would stay again but think they need to address the cleaning.

Plenty of parking for the hotel behind the pub. Great shower in our room and comfortable king size bed (room 4). Good breakfast, cooked to order.

Ample parking, well-appointed room, staff generally helpful. We stayed in the ‘Indulgence Suite’ and were impressed by the room, but sadly didn’t get to enjoy a relaxing evening as there was a party going on that was just so, so loud until 11pm. Pub food was extremely disappointing, very over-priced for quality. Breakfast was tasty and a good selection, but at 9am there was no bread, plates or bowls for the buffet so wasn’t very well-maintained. Bed was very uncomfortable unfortunately. Room was very dark and quiet once music had stopped though.

Excellent location, loved sitting in the pub garden. Food was delicious. Staff were very helpful.

From a speedy check in to a lovely breakfast all was excellent. A lovely place to stay.

Smallish range of buffet items for breakfast but the food to order was good and more than met our requirements. Bedd was a little soft and bouncy so perhaps a twin bed next time. Parking easy, plenty of space

Breakfast service was slow and arrived with missing items each time. There was little interest from staff when reporting that eggs were served with raw whites. Also due to a wedding occurring at the premises we were refused entry to the bar/restuarant without any notice.

Absolutely Lovely staff … friendly and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough for us Sadly this does not take away from the tired rooms. We had booked a suite which was better when we viewed it but due to a significant leg injury I could not get up and down the stairs. … So we asked and were moved to a basic room on the ground floor (We didn’t ask for refund on room and wasn’t offered one) so paid over the top for our 3 nights. Bed was comfy and tea and coffee facilities good but room was dingy, dark, smelt a bit fusty and in desperate need of a lick of paint and updating. Food was good quality pub food but not better than that. Breakfast was good too. All in all we had a restful stay as planned but surroundings were sadly worse than home so wouldn’t return just for those reasons.

The room we stayed in was spacious, clean , and had a walk in shower room which was nice for a change, breakfast was good, plenty of choice, staff were all very pleasant.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the food was good, especially breakfast, and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Clean room, good toiletries, good tea/coffee selection. Breakfast selection - great choice. French toast and fruuts delicious
