I think this could be a great place, but every business is having to cut corners on staff. This has moved to keyless entry with lock-boxes, which worked fine. But we arrived in the village, had to figure out parking ourselves, let ourselves in, and in the morning let ourselves out. It's hard to feel welcome anywhere when you only interact with machines - how can there be character with no people? The room was good, a main area plus a side bedroom with a bunkbed, shower worked. The restaurant/bar was closed, and the restaurant across the street (related I think) wasn't serving food. We found another that was steps away, so it was fine. In the morning we had some breakfast downstairs (bought separately from the cafe/restaurant/bar) and it was good, and the staff obviously know the locals and get along fine. But what could have been charming visit to a lovely Welsh village just felt like we were ghosts. If you just need a bed, great. If you want to visit this area, look for somewhere with real people.
