I spent five nights at this comfortable Gaestehaus when I visited my relatives in Dellbrueck. It is very friendly, welcoming and clean and I enjoyed my large room. It was very easy to get to downtown Cologne. (One day I did the trip twice and it was uncomplicated.) The S-Bahn stop is 2 minutes away. It was particularly pleasant to feel how much the staff likes working for the owner who creates a family vibe for his staff and thereby for the guests as well. I am looking forward to returning many times.

I had a very pleasant stay at UHU with my daugther on a weekend trip to Phantasialand and Köln. The room was comfortable. The location is great - you're in a quiet neighbourhood but still only 30-45 min by train/tram to the city center. Good restaurants and other services around. Private parking is safe and relatively cheap, with an option to use it even after check-out if you're going to the city for the day. We had a somewhat unpleasant experience at breakfast - guests cannot touch the coffee machines, the scrambled eggs were salty beyond edibility and there was a dead fly between the cucumber slices... I know this can happen anywhere and it didn't ruin my stay ;) but that's why 4 stars instead of 5.

Stayed here together with four friends. We were given a very large and tidy room for the five of us. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent! Close proximity to the train station makes it a favourable place to stay if you want to visit Cologne.

Comfortable hotel. Nicely renovated and decorated. Large and comfortable room. Spacious breakfast room with good breakfast. Loved the variety of cereals and coffee/tea! Friendly staff / good service.

Cancellation on the day of booking is not feasible, as the hotel strictly enforces a policy requiring date changes to be requested at least 28 days in advance. This policy assumes an impractical ability to predict sickness nearly a month ahead. Initially, our first contact suggested canceling the booking with the promise of a voucher for rescheduling. However, an email received the next day contradicted this assurance, citing the 28-day rule as a reason for not providing a voucher. Upon calling to clarify our situation, we encountered an unprofessional and discourteous front desk representative who, regrettably, did not provide their name. Lacking empathy or sympathy, our experience leads us to advise against booking with this specific.
