Excellent staff! Great location

Bed mattress and pillows good firm, bedside lights not repaired. Fridge good, supplies all good. Bathroom towel hooks farthest wall from shower. One power point on wall furthest from the mirror. Only saw one cockroach. Air conditioner very noisy, as were patrons outside.

Clean & tidy room with all you could need.

I would have LIKED to stay at the Royal. I'd made a booking but ran late getting there. No text message. No email. And no keys or anything in the late arrivals box when I got there. You can imagine how great that felt arriving in a dark carpark, with everything closed, and nowhere to stay. I was lucky to not end up sleeping in the back of my car, but had to suck up paying for a room at another hotel (also closed by the time I got there, but at least there was a bell I could ring). Late check in process at this place definitely needs work. Imo, don't book here if you're expecting to arrive late.

The room was small but clean and a great shower, so for the price it was exceptional. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly. I would certainly visit The Royal again.

Very loud jarring music playing from a neighbouring building for over 2 hours. Also noticed bugs and cockroaches in the room.

Run down building inside and it was right next to the hotel billiard table and a noisy crowd outside the door until midnight, This is the worst stay we have ever had.
