This was a great place to stay. The staff were so helpful with everything! It’s so close to Blenheim Castle & Oxford.

Excellent value for very large 3 person room. Ive stayed before and always find this place a bit strange. Evening food options are limited. Reception staff could do with being more welcoming.

Spacious room with outstanding cleanliness, quiet and comfort. Sadly, not possible to use any of the spa facilities (pool, sauna) without purchasing a treatment and while I really did want a massage, the timings of treatments just couldn’t fit my schedule.

Nice 2 night stay. Bedroom and bathroom were good sizes. A couple maintenance issues, showerhead needed changing as was rubbish and a hook on the bathroom door was missing. Breakfast was the normal buffet style, nothing exceptional but perfectly adequate. Had one evening meal in the restaurant which was very nice and a couple pizzas the next evening, again very nice. Hotel is in a good location for exploring the Cotswolds.

Staff excellent, we’ve only given a 3 star because the beds were so bad!! We only ate there once during our stay as it was very average and the choice poor. Luckily we only used it as a base. Also it should be called a Spa as it isn’t one

On the whole it was a very enjoyable birthday weekend for myself and my wife. One small comment to make is on the Saturday night we opted for the buffet as opposed to the à la carte. The choice and quality weren’t the best but ok, only then to find out when the time came to pay that the costs were the same for the buffet as they were for the à la carte! Bit naughty really.

The room was clean but very basic amenities, not even a bottle of water could be found there. The staff was not knowledgeable at all when we were asking questions about the hotel and possible plans to do nearby.

Good points: Staff were friendly, accommodation was clean and tidy and food provision and bar was satisfactory. Poor points: The room was pretty sparse and lacking any warmth or character as were the rest of the facilities. We didn’t try the Spa or Golf, so can’t comment on this. gym, sauna, hot tub type facilities (which I would be happy to pay for) are pretty standard in most ‘Spa’ hotels so I felt a bit cheated. Maybe should have looked deeper into the hotel facilities before reservation, but this was a quick decision. Anyway, overall rating is ok.

An okay base to explore the Cotswolds. The grounds are beautiful and we were lucky with warm weather however the room was very hot and as on ground floor with only a door we couldn’t leave this open at night. The “spa” is only if you book a treatment, there is no pool or anywhere to relax. There was a power cut on our second night meaning guests could not get food and only drink for an hour from bottled drinks. This was poorly communicated and guests were encouraged to go into Chipping Norton for dinner. This was disappointing given we had been out for the day and came back for dinner and wanted a drink without paying extra for taxis. Guests without cash could not purchase anything during the power cut.
