Wonderful restaurant with rooms in central France ideal for a stopover from the midi to the channel ports

Really welcoming staff english speaking and tha food out of this world

Our stay was good. When we arrived, we had to ring the front door bell as there was no-one in the hotel. They had tried to telephone us but I had missed their call. A charming lady arrived very quickly and attended to our check-in in a matter of minutes. I am coeliac and they had also catered for me at breakfast. The only thing we could fault, and it was a very minor fault, is that we found the entrance gate a bit tight to drive our car through to park behind the hotel. We are Australian and were driving a right hand car. Europeans would most likely not experience any difficulty at all.

We arrived in a heatwave whilst hotel reception was still closed but owner graciously let us in. We hd a choie of rooms: large one overlooking road or smaller room overlooking garden. Both were recently refurbished with nice furnishings. We chose the larger room, knowing it might have traffic noise. However, that noise starts very early in the morning with HGV's going through. It is probably ok during the winter when you can close the windows and shutters, or choose the garden view. The room was very comfortable with a sofa, good king size bed with quality linen, and modern bathroom. a good bed . However in Central France during a heatwave, all we were offered was a winterweight duvet. At the very least sheets should be offered and also a fan. We spent a very hot and uncomfortable night unable to sleep because of the extreme heat, which was unnecessary. Meals can be taken on a pretty terrace. We had the fixed price menu which was good value for money, However the menu is limited and one of the main courses was not available so we finished up with steaks. Although we asked for them rare, they came medium.It was good quality meat though. Excellent starter and dessert. The hotel has heating, so would be good during the winter. The village centre is very close, but it was too hot to explore it. There was a market on the Thursday morning. Service was good and staff were all charming. We would use the hotel again at cooler times of year.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Central. L’accueil a été chaleureux et professionnel, le personnel toujours souriant, disponible et attentif aux moindres détails. La chambre était impeccable, confortable et décorée avec goût, avec une literie de grande qualité qui nous a permis de parfaitement nous reposer. L’environnement est calme et très agréable, idéal pour se détendre. Concernant le restaurant, ce fut une véritable belle surprise : des plats savoureux, bien présentés, préparés avec des produits du terroir et de qualité. Le service était attentionné, et l’ambiance très conviviale. Terrasse exceptionnelle ! Un établissement que je recommande sans hésitation pour un séjour alliant confort, gastronomie et accueil irréprochable. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

belle rénovation pour cet hôtel ancien avec tout le confort moderne. Nous recommandons particulièrement le restaurant ( belle salle , cuisine inventive ) .

Belle expérience dans cette ancienne auberge pleine de charme Dommage il manquait une Clim dans la chambre d’où les bruits de la rue passagère fenêtre ouverte Pause restaurant agréable en terrasse, un vrai régal et un service parfait

Nous faisons le tour de la Creuse à vélo et cet établissement est remarquable , le meilleur de notre circuit : accueil, décoration de la chambre, literie impeccable, tout est parfait. Petit déjeuner délicieux et frais comme l'orange pressée qui nous a été servie.

Complexe très très propre, en particulier la chambre. Chambre confortable avec une belle salle d eau, une bonne literie, une excellente machine Espresso mais un wifi de mauvaise qualité. Le restaurant est à recommander. Les propriétaires et l équipe du dîner sont sympathiques. Le petit déjeuné, de type français, est parfait.

Hôtel calme et propre. Les propriétaires sont très serviables et ne demande qu'à nous rendre service. Je recommande cet établissement.
