Make sure you don't end up in the Hafenturm part of the hotel. No ventilation in the rooms and no AC either. Coupled with the fact that the rooms are facing the railway line and you need to keep the window open for some chance of oxygen supply means poor sleep in very hot and noisy conditions

Perfect - Only thing is coffee, should be self service, so You dont sit and waits for it at breakfast

If you find yourself in Papenburg this is a great spot. Excellent bar and restaurant and the rooms are absolutely fine. 4 minutes walk from train station if that’s how you’re arriving. They can also organise taxis to take you on afterwards but make sure you have cash for those. Will definitely stay again when I’m in papenburg

I would call the hotel top-notch. All the facilities were excellent. The breakfast buffet was delightful and my eyes popped when I saw an automatic pancake maker. On our 2-day stay, we ate a full meal in mid-afternoon. The second day we ate in the Biergarten and enjoyed excellent steaks and wine. Our room was spotless. The hotel layout was easy to navigate. We took an early evening stroll along the canal outside the hotel entrance and it was beautiful, peaceful and romantic. Just writing about it makes me want to return ASAP. Ditto for my wife.

Comfortable stay, clean room, friendly staff.

This was probably one of the most unique hotels I ever stayed in.Even though I do not speak German the staff was very accommodating and gracious. The hotel was a reflection of the city itself which has Shipbuilding history and was quite unique. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and I rate it 4 stars out of 4.

Amazing trip, great hotel, no issues

Always great to stay here,- friendly staff- most of them speak English. Incredible breakfast buffet,- I would choose this Hotel over other just for breakfast along (SOOO good). Love their architecture,- main restaurant (and breakfast area) located inside of an converted old ShipYard, with some remaining components from the Yard (gives this décor very unique look)

In my opinion this is a nicer hotel than the Park Inn. The restaurant is pretty cool as as well. Great hotel.

Very nice hotel. I like the decor, which harks back to the shipbuilding days. Would stay here again.
