Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. Room had everything we needed including a kettle which we didn’t expect. A selection of mismatched furniture but adequate for the room. We had food on the 2 nights we stayed which was very tasty and on the second night absolutely plentiful. The first night was curry night and we ordered 2 curry’s. Waited for at least half an hour to it and when it arrived although very nice, the portion size was small. We didn’t complain as we were pleased with the flavour and everyone we saw had the same sized portion. It was just a bit surprising as the following night the portion was really good. That was our only gripe with our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay although we had things to do in the area so didn’t stay in the pub very much while in the area.

Great stay

An historic inn with nicely updated rooms. Excellent shower, large room and the most comfortable bed I have slept in so far on this 3 month trip. Beer in the bar is great with a good selection of wines. Food was good with some interesting Lebanese style dishes. Very quiet and I would highly recommend this inn.

We had a fantastically comfortable stay: the room was small but very nicely done, good bedside lights (not always bright enough we've found), the bed was really comfortable, shower good. Breakfast in a side room of the pub was absolutely delicious and beautifully laid out.

Room was lovely, loads of character, nice comfortable bed and there were nice touches to the room like biscuits and tea and coffee. Staff polite. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Clean spacious Rooms some of which are separate to the pub itself. Good food and drink at the pub.

The room was excellent with a huge bathroom. All staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was extremely good value and very tasty. In fact I would definitely recommend the place, for anyone visiting Bombay Sapphire, as we did. Overton is a very friendly and interesting little village.

A lovely room, great facilities and a very comfy big bed!

Almost all good. The room itself was spacious and well equipped. Fresh milk in the fridge, quality teas and coffees, biscuits, great shower, lighting, fan, tv, radio, quality bed and bedding, sofa and toiletries. I'm sure there are more positives... My minor negative observations - check in wasn't quick or smooth (although the young man who welcomed me was excellent). The cups don't fit for the coffee machine. There is no direct way from the carpark to the main building although there is a less than obvious side door. Overall - I enjoyed my 1 night stay and I appreciated the touches of luxury.

Lovely welcome & great pub. Room was spacious & clean. Bed comfy. Food was delicious, however when it came to dessert, there were items on the menu & specials board that the kitchen either could make or didn’t have. This also happened at Breakfast too. But staff was friendly & apologetic & discounted bill. Lovely place, would recommend.

Two night stay with my brother whilst attending Goodwood Festival of speed. Staff all very helpful and very accommodating to our needs. Food: standard pub menu good but not brilliant. Weather very hot and so the terrace was very welcome. Room excellent.
