I spoke with duty manager on Sunday before leaving, with the promise that the general manager would phone and/or email. I wanted to give the hotel a fair amount of time to fulfill that side of the agreement. I want this to be fair… but the issues on Saturday night far outweigh the positives. Positives: The hotel room was comfortable. While the bathroom could do with an upgrade the shower was excellent. Check-in was smooth. I had breakfast the first morning and it was cooked to order (not buffet) with excellent ingredients. ISSUES: Impossible to Sleep (avoid at all costs at the weekend) I’ve waited a couple of days to give the general manager time to call and discuss this stay so it’s time to post my honest review (it’s a complaint letter)! I booked this hotel specifically for its advertised "quiet and serene" environment, needing proper rest (I was lecturing all weekend). Unfortunately, my three-night stay was a masterclass in failed hospitality and broken promises, defined by a complete lack of proactive care and transparency. Their disclaimer about making "every effort" to minimise impact felt like a cruel joke. No meaningful effort was made. I was trapped, paying for a room that was unfit for purpose on the most expensive night. I had to favour an extra half hour in bed so had no time to eat the breakfast I had paid for on Sunday! The management's handling was the true failure. There was no prior warning, other than an email to my spam. Receptionist didn’t mention

DO NOT STAY HERE on the weekends or during any special event. The noise is so disturbing and it will last until 230am inside, and yes,outside the hotel. If they tell you, “they will do their best to accommodate”, don’t believe it. They can’t as you can’t get far enough away from the noise of the DJ, the music, the parties, and so on. In all of my years of traveling, I have never experienced anything like this. The owners obviously do not care about the actual guests of the hotel. We were so looking forward to our stay, and it was terrible. Find another place to stay, and then relish in the beauty of Ireland and its’ wonderful people. Btw, they did discount our stay, but that was not the point. My goodness, such a disservice to the guests.

Good location. A couple of block walk to the Castle and the main street of Trim. Parking was onsite. The choices for the included breakfast were very good. Staff was friendly.

Just a really good hotel, everything done right. Good bed, good shower & good breakfast (also had dinner there & it ticked all the boxes). Staff efficient & polite, parking included & good location. Highly recommended. Rooms a little dated but all serviceable & clean with good coffee machine & tea making facilities.

I was treated badly and was annoyed they had a party up stairs next to our room and played music until 2an

We loved our stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and everything was clean. Beds were very comfortable.

We were very kindly upgraded to the Bridal Suite as it was our 30 year anniversary. We also received a card and balloons in the room. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We were close to nearby restaurants & bars. Trim is such a beautiful place which we will certainly return to. And we will, of course, stay in the Castle Arch Hotel again ❤️
