I have stayed in November 2023 during my o-Henro walk in this hotel. While the external look is old, the interior is modern, fresh and new. The room I stayed in was spacious and had modern furniture. Price/performance relation is very good. The hotel personnel was very kind and helpful, when I accidentally left my ID card there, they immediately forwarded the document to my next hotel along with a present showing 100 % dedication to customer service. A present for the additional work, which I created, could not reasonably be expected. Eckhard Puchert

This hostel is a real essential Japanese experience for the thrifty visitor.

Good hotel - in terms of service, facility and dining experience. It only got four star solely due to its remote location - you ain't going anywhere without the local bus or a car.
