It was a magical few days.. the setting was amazing and the little lambs were so cute… just so very peaceful.. The house had everything you needed and so beautifully done … We are definately going back !!

Absolutely beautiful farm stay

It was a treat to enter such a beautiful, clean, and well-set-up unit. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit and were very impressed from the Smeg stove to the dishwasher, the aircon worked well and fans were much needed in the bedrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped and we had everything we needed for the weekend. The bathrooms were very clean and well set out. All the beautiful creams and soaps were very much appreciated. The beds were very comfortable and the king size in the main bedroom was extra large with large comfortable pillows The unit had a lovely big covered patio with a large outdoor 6 seater table and chairs and then a separate 4 seater outdoor set. It was a private unit that looked out onto a beautiful garden with the mountains in the background with the hoses, cows and sheep, and the hens which popped in for a visit every now and then. A peaceful and beautiful setting. We used the pool as it gets very hot and appreciated the comfortable loungers around the pool. I will definitely recommend this lodge and a good stay for anywhere in the Tulbagh area.

This was our 3rd visit and the room was very well kept and neat. I cannot recall if there was an iron previously but we did miss this - perhaps a mini foldable ironing board and iron could be provided. The salt and pepper shakers had the wrong contents (salt shaker had pepper in it and vice versa). The privacy screen at the pool looks great. We could unfortunately not use the pool as it seems like a corporate group booked most of the cottages and spent their entire stay at the pool which left no space for others to use the loungers or spend some time in the sun and the pool. They also used the front entrance of the reception area for their evening get togethers which did become noisy at times. It was the noisiest stay we have experienced. Perhaps a 'boma' section should be built close to the veggie patch so that get togethers are possible but not in the centre of the establishment. I would also suggest a welcome bottle of wine promoting the beautiful vineyards and vintages.

Hi, Fantastic view and buildings They can do something about neighbor sound. We can hear each other talk? They should do fire walls or something about sound They must put a electrical plug near die mirror or vise versa please!

What a gem this was to find. We were 6 adults and 1 child and could all spread out a bit. The smallest detail was seen to and the kitchen was better equipped that most self-catering cottages. Will definately go again if in the area.

Fabulous location, private with stunning views and comfortable living space

What a fantastic place!! Arrived at night so couldn't see the awesomeness until the next morning. The scenery is breathtaking and the cottage was absolutely beautiful, all well thought for a very pleasant stay. The kids/teens enjoyed the pool and the adults loved walking around admiring the landscape. 100% recommended!!

Raptor Rise is absolutely beautiful and the hosts are warm and welcoming ... surrounded by luscious green valleys and amazing mountains. The accommodation is of very good quality but rooms 1, 2 and 3 are extremely small by South African standards and I ended up with a bruise from bumping up against furniture. I am of average build but everything is just tiny. Room 4 is considerably larger though. Another minus for me was the lack of TVs in the units and it was too cold to go into the communal space to watch TV. There also are no microwaves. Room 4 has a hot plate though.

the Guesthouse was very clean and had everything we required, finding it was a bit of a challenge for a few items. The stillness and view are excellent.

Everything was perfect! A real treat of a weekend in a beautiful space.

Raptor Rise war eine wirklich sehr schöne Anlage, die in einer absolut ruhigen Umgebung ist. Die Zimmer sehr sauber und das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Everything was very nice except for the dogs running free and the dogpoo on the lawn.
