Very disappointed with our stay at the Drake Motor Inn. Our room wasn’t even in the main hotel—it was in a separate annex that was basically a shipping container converted into a room. The insulation was terrible; you could hear everything, making it far from a relaxing stay. To make things worse, the annex is literally sitting in the parking lot of the restaurant next door. Nothing says “boutique getaway” quite like falling asleep in what feels like a glorified shipping container surrounded by parked cars. For the price, I expected so much more. The photos make it look charming, but the reality was very different. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Overall we had a good experience at the Drake Devonshire. However, no one informed us about the wedding taking place and what that would have meant for us. We were not allowed to use any of the amenities for a whole day. O just wish we were informed of this when we checked in so we could change plans a little bit from the get go. Overall the restaurant have delicious food right by the water.

our stay was just as great as we had experienced before, their front desk staff and manager on shift was professional in handling a little hiccup in our checking in through a third party provider ... but things got resolved within minutes .... the surrounding was beautiful, the decor is totally our fav .... just an amazing and happy feeling to stay at the Drake Devonshire and the Drake Motor Inn. Highly recommend

A great stay

The room was very clean upon arrival, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion were lovely and smelled wonderful, which was a nice touch. The air conditioning worked very well, but unfortunately it blew directly on me all night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. We were also disappointed that there was no complimentary bottled water in the room. We were told to get water downstairs, but since no container was provided, we had to use the ice bucket. The two cookies at check-in for a family of four were a nice gesture, although more would have been appreciated. The bite-sized scones offered in the morning were delicious, but they could have been a little larger. When booking as a family travelling with children, it would also be helpful if the "Jems" box were placed out of sight of curious kids. The food in the main dining room was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. While there are shops nearby, they don't offer the same charm or variety as those in Niagara-on-the-Lake, making the high room rates harder to justify. Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the cleanliness of the room and the excellent staff, but the cost for a single night was extremely high. Given the location and surrounding area, I don't feel the experience justified the premium price.

A very lovely stay, everyone was amazing, front desk to restaurant staff, we had the best time, we’ll be back! Shout out to Kiki for treating our Pup Marlie like a Queen , and for all the bacon and great suggestions :)

Lovely hotel and spot.

Sofa was uncomfortable and nothing else to sit on except the bed. Room was over-priced for the quality.

Super friendly at reception for check-in. Stayed at the Motor Inn, the room was a very spacious and loved all the attention to detail - not to mention the welcome fresh baked cookies and the morning delivery to our door of fresh baked scones!

The front desk was very friendly and the room was very nice! The only thing was that we were unaware the the motor Inn portion is not on Lake Ontario...I was a little disappointed in that.

The room was clean, but definitely not worth the price charged. Cheap furniture, poorly stocked self service machines. (Children's pop rocks were 10.00 CAD!) In room amenities were more like a 2 star motor inn. No microwave. Fridge was tiny with no room to place our bought beverages. Rem Three or four snacks in room, with a 36 g bag of Hawkins Cheezies going for 8.00 CAD. Way beyond a reasonable convenience markup. Unbelievable. Front desk indicated light breakfast scones would be outside the door each morning. First night yes, second night no. Consistency and attention to detail does matter.

Room was clean. Amenities were more like a 2 star motel, and the room was significantly overpriced. In room conveniences were ridiculously overpriced. 36 g bag of Hawkins Cheezies for 8.00. Tiny bag of nuts that are sold in Dollarama for 1.25 were 10.00. Front desk offerred complementary cookies, but they were hard and stale. Will not be a repeat customer.

Room was big but bathroom toilet seems like public bathroom. We had 3 people staying but slippers and towels were do only 2 people
