Had a poor experience at this hotel I would not visit again I checked in 31st March had a long drive down the woman on the reception was not helpful at all we checked in slightly earlier but she just said check in is 3pm I get that I’ve travelled the world my point is she was just rude she couldn’t even suggest in waiting in the lobby, I had to take all my cases back to the car as there is no direct car park for this hotel which is another joke no one tells you this till you arrive so they take your keys away we don’t know where it gets parked and they keep the keys, well I wasn’t going to let that happen. Went for dinner that night the guy that welcomed us was very nice and welcoming as for the other staff which really let’s this places down are very lazy not pro active I asked for 2 cocktails a pornstar Martini I’ve never seen a pot rat martini served like this before was so watered down and the presentation was poor, dinner was good apart from the desert chocalte pudding more like rock hard straight out the freezer when asked the waiter he said he would let the chef know that’s no good like I said poor customer service let’s thisplaced down then at brekkie my chair broke in front of everyone again the staff are not active at all so lazy I had to ask if I could move tables and then on top of that we had to wait for our cooked breakfast over 30 mins bearing in mind the hotel is not busy yet so I dread to think what it would’ve like at peak My Tv in room and internet crap

Disappointing Although refurbished to a good standard, the hotel has unfortunately kept a 1930s style lift, great to look at, but quite useless as a functioning lift. Particularly useless if you’re on the fourth floor as it only goes to three. It has a metal shutter style inner door that if left open when leaving, renders the lift inoperable. In a three day stay I had to find the lift on at least six occasions to close the door as my wife needed to use it. I would therefore, not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility problems. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be. Evening meals were good but kept the same menu so quite repetitive. The English breakfast was inedible. Fried egg burnt on the bottom, raw on top. Sausage with a skin so tough it was difficult to cut, and the remainder of the items had spent too long under a heat lamp so they had dried out. Great views but the hotel needs some sorting out.

The hotel allows children to use the indoor pool only between 9am - 10am and between 3pm - 4 pm. We couldn’t find that information when we booked, and the member of staff at the reception didn’t advise us that when we asked about the availability of the indoor pool with my daughter. It was disappointing. The hotel itself and general services were nice.

Room was spotless, loved the location, short walk to downalong and minutes walk from the beach. Views from the hotel restaurant are outstanding, and staff were all welcoming and friendly. You cant park nearby, but there is an easy set up for pulling up outside in temporary parking opposite and they will then take your car and you can request it is bought back for checkout, or inbetween. We enjoyed the freedom of not driving, all amenities were a short stroll away.

Room and spa were lovely. Weird parking situation; would have appreciated prior knowledge of situation. Food and service in restaurant was simply not good enough, although they took criticism well, and reduced bill.

Comfortable room, nicely decorated and clean. No view from window which should have been disclosed. Window unable to be kept open for ventilation. Shower tap very stiff to operate. Bed headboards should be easily cleanable and not made from a material that retains customer hairs. Lovely meal in the restaurant. Chef and staff very accommodating and understanding of allergy needs. Nice lounge area. Compulsory Valet parking wasn’t made clear beforehand. Great view from restaurant.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff was friendly and the comfort was top noch. The only challenge for our 80+ group was the place of the hotel, going down the hill to the St Ives centre was easy but we always needed a cab to go up.

Lovely stay at this hotel. Delicious extensive continental breakfast provided, with hot breakfast at a great price of £10 extra. Large comfortable king size and single beds, with great pillows and clean bathrooms. Lots of space to relax. Easy valet parking at £15 night. Beautiful beach view from our bedroom, the other room street view. Overall great stay. Will be back if in St Ives!

Room was tired. Shouldn’t have to pay more for a cooked breakfast when on a b+b package. Location is good and spa is ok.

Decent enough. One thing that did annoy me is that I found the mini bar and tea and coffee facilities in a cupboard which I never used. It wasn’t until the morning of the check out that I realised they were there. Food in the dining room was of a good standard and the serving staff were good. Spa was ok for free, staff in the the spa didn’t really acknowledge me. Just told me to sign out when I left. All in all a decent enough hotel but I thought £500 for a couple of nights for two in November was a little on the expensive side.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and continental breakfast had a good choice. The spa was nice but it was really busy. Nice little touches in the room such as a gin and tonic and you could see they had used local providers which was great to see.Location was excellent for the beach and the town.

The staff were helpful. Excellent location and view. Older building with lots of creaking as you walked through. An easy walk into town.
