Beautiful room in a wonderful hotel. The staff were really friendly and the amenities were outstanding. Location was great particularly if you want to enjoy the shopping in Carlisle.

Clean and tidy hotel, very warm welcome at front reception. Lovely to be handed a proper door key rather than a digital keycard. Swimming pool small but clean and warm temperature and the hot tub was delightful. Great access to local pedestrianised shopping area.

Great location in the centre of town. I stayed in the club room. It was clean with the exception on the toilet bowl which needed a good scrubbing. The bed was comfortable. Please note this hotel accepts dogs. Day two of my stay consisted of a dog race up and down the corridors and constant barking whenever the guests next door left their dog or crying. I won’t be staying here again for this reason.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The Crown and Mitre is a traditional hotel so can seem a bit old fashioned I suppose, but on the plus side you get a quiet soundproof room and a good sized bath in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay there again.
