Clean room, helpful staff, breakfast I didn’t like it ,not much variety, lounge bar excellent service ,hotel location is excellent close to local beach and Parque de los novios , Italian bakery around the corner with excellent coffee and typical breakfast ,nice view from balcony.

We enjoyed

Loved the place. It was a surprise. I was born in Barranquilla but had not spent much time in Santa Marta. The developments of the last 20 years have been amazing. The Hotel property was great and with proper maintenance will become a jewel. The food at the 4th floor was great but again, the adjacent pool area and bar shows signs of wear and tear. I will return and will tell friends and family about it. Marriott must do its part. The staff was amazing. Maintain, clean, maintain, clean!!!!

The staff was kind and the room was okay. The bed was nice but the room was fairly small and I didn't love the way the bathroom was designed. To be honest, I guess I was just expecting more because the pictures were great. The breakfast buffet was very nice.

If you just need a place to sleep for night it’s great but not enough room to open suitcase except on bed

Our stay at this hotel was perfect from beginning to end. We arrived early at 10:30am and the staff already had our room ready, which was such a kind and welcoming start. The team were wonderful throughout our stay — friendly, attentive, and always smiling, whether at reception, breakfast, the lounge bar or the pool bar. They even called me “Señor Derek”, which made me feel right at home. The hotel was spotless, our room was cleaned every day, and the breakfast was fantastic with so many choices. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing, and the location is excellent for exploring Santa Marta. On our last day we were able to stay in the room until 4pm, which we appreciated so much. Me and my partner definitely want to stay here again the next time we visit Santa Marta. Highly recommended.

The hotel is near the port where some excursions depart, very conveniently located next restaurants and the night scene. Felt very safe as there police patrolling the area.

A very nice place but if you don't like really cold water in the pool you will not be happy. You think in Santa Marta the pool water would be nice but it felt like Ice water. Insane cold. That is my only complaint.

​Outstanding Stay and Incredible Hospitality We had a fantastic experience staying at the AC Marriott Santa Marta. Everything from start to finish was top notch. The breakfast was absolutely incredible and top-tier. We stayed in a room with a balcony, which was a great space to relax. The service was also exceptional even after checkout, they let us leave our luggage there so we could enjoy a meal before heading out to the airport. Highly recommended
