Good food beautiful grounds, very nice friendly staff

The building and grounds are gorgeous, and the members of staff are lovely- so helpful and accommodating. We truly enjoyed a spectacular breakfast spread, with some delectable homemade goodies. Unfortunately, we arrived late and left early, so never got to use the facilities, which is what you pay for at a place like this. So for us, it was an expensive stay with not that much comfort. The beds were appropriate for more of a youth hostel or a hospital stay, with pillows akin to those you get for free on airplanes, and very thin, sparse duvets, contradictory to expectations, when staying in an arctic country during wintertime. The rooms are small, but that is to be expected with an old, gorgeously and accurately decorated historical building. Further, as is not uncommon in Scandinavia,- the double bed consists of two twins placed close together, so unless you and your partner have long outgrown closeness during the night, one of you may find yourself stuck in the steadily increasing crack between the two, slowly separating twin beds. The bathroom was clearly cleaned, as surfaces were shiny, but it appears the cleaning crew are avoiding cleaning with bleach (for admirable environmental reasons?), which has resulted in some significant mildew buildup on the grout. This is probably an unforgettable, historical stay, if you have time to utilize the beautiful facilities of the place and your focus is not a good night sleep in a dreamy, comfortable bed.

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night when skiing. Short car ride to the hill. Beautiful spa facility. Perfect after a day on the slopes. Nice and curtious staff. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast was standard, no scrambled egg and bacon but good.

Wonderful, quiet, peaceful place to stay. The hosts make you feel like family. They were helpful beyond measure! Will definitely stay there again if we can return to Sweden!

Vi hade ett rum med två enkelsängar, men önskade en dubbelsäng. Detta hjälpte personalen till med direkt, och vi fick en super trevlig kväll/natt. Tack för den här tiden!

Trevlig och glad personal! God och för mig lagom stor frukost! Känns bra att de bakar eget bröd, har sylter från egna odlingar, äppelmust från lokalt musteri… över huvud taget ”lokal mat”! Havregrynsgröten SÅ god! Rummet trivsamt och kändes rent! Spat vet jag inte… var inte där. Vacker trädgård och omgivningar på hotellets ägor. Trevligt med sittbänkar och sittgrupper lite ”här och var”! Hela känslan för Järvsöbaden är att de bryr sig om!

Fantastisk personal och ett hotell i fint läge med en mycket härlig trädgård. Konceptet att betala för antal rätter vid middagsbuffén var lite konstigt. Härligt egenbakat bröd till frukost men något begränsad gällande rätter.

Very nice clean and retro rooms.... amazing decor but yhe room was very small. No lifts so had to carry the luggage up the stairs. Bed had wheels under it I.e. it moved everything I turned. Breakfast was good but not a lot of vegetarian options. Amazing view from the balcony attached to the room.

Mysigt boende, lugnt och skönt!

God frukost, lagom mycket att välja på. God havregrynsgröt! Plus för lokala producenter, bär från egen odling och hembakt bröd! Och MESSMÖR! Trevliga lokaler och rum, smakfullt och ”gammeldags” inredda med tex mönster från gamla hälsingetapeter. Sammantaget ett mycket trivsamt hotell!
