Food was nicely presented and there was a good choice of breakfast and dinner options. Very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good parking and EV charging available. Part of the hotel has been very freshly painted with new carpets which was lovely. Would recommend.

Although spacious, the room at our arrival was very cold. After having asked twice about it and that we needed two towels as we were two people, yet no heating was switched on. Later in the day, after a long day out, we spoke to another member of staff who final managed to give us two towels and switch on the heating. The hotel is very very old but it reflected on the price.

Its a lovely old place. Granted it isnt a new build, but the beds are comfortable and you get a bath. And lovely and toasty in the winter. Perfect location for wither taunton or Bridgwater and a free car park.

Staff were polite and helpful. Dinner and breakfast good. The room was a good size, however in need of decorative maintenance. There were cleanliness issues, dirty bathroom door with spashes and a hole. Bathroom sink plug and overflow dirty. Varous bits under bed.

When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. There was sick and vomit on the side of the wall dried in there are multiple stains on the roof on the walls of the hotel room and over the bed. The mattress was completely filthy. Looked about 20 years old. I would not let a dog sleep in the room or even a cat the heating was switched off and did not work because of the pipework had been leaking. They were visible. Water stains all over the floor. All of the paint was peeling off the walls and ceilings and there was black mould on the windows of the hotel room. I went straight back to the hotel front desk and said the room is nothing like the ones in your photographs and I was told the hotel had not been redone for a long time and they know there is issues with the hotel and they’re trying to upgrade some of the rims when they can afford to do it however this is just the way their rooms are right now I asked and demanded to be moved to a different room. I was then shown another room which was even worse there is no elevator in the hotel room a lot of stairs and the hotel room smells of cigarettes and dogs and there was rubbish all through the hallwa

I booked on a room only basis but you could add breakfast at any point. I liked that all you had to do was go in to the dining room and give your room number. It was £15 each, all in. There is a cold buffet and hot food was made to order. The only thing that would have made it better, was if you could have the cold buffet only (say for a reduced price), as i dont eat cooked breakfasts, i only have toast or cereals. So to still pay £15 for toast and coffee is way too pricey! The room was spacious and clean, and very quiet. I paid extra for an executive twin, so was expecting a few upgrades to a standard room. However the furniture was very dated, the carpet was quite stained in one area, and the bathroom was oldish. HOWEVER, it was all very clean. Which to me is the most important! I did enquire at front desk to see if i was in the right room, and was told the only difference having an executive room is the bigger size!! Nothing else! So i wont pay extra for an executive next time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very neat and tidy, freshly painted and new carpet (in most areas). I will definitely stay again, on a room only basis, but will just pick a standard room next time. My room was very quiet. Away from the road and carpark. Perfect for me.

Restaurant food was very nice and good value. Breakfast was excellent the hit options were all freshly cooked and good quality. The continental options were also good quality and varied. The room was a little tired and some or the corridor areas could do with a freshening up. All told a very nice overnight stay and will stay again when in the area. Thank you to the restaurant staff who were all very friendly and looked after their guests.

The staff make this place. They are all so lush and friendly and accommodating....can't say enough about them! The food was great, although the cooked breakfast portion size was a little small, but still delicious.

Another stay at this lovely hotel. Yes it's a little shabby in places & the carpets could do with a cleaning but what makes this hotel are the staff. Their attention to detail, friendly, polite & efficient service is second to none. The food is excellent. All in all this is a cosy hotel & well worth a visit. I do also think the room pricing is very competitive for the area.

Friendly staff. Unfortunately we both woke up with small red bite marks on our bodies. When I opened the curtains in the morning , I found that the lace was very dirty which made on both windows. Made it feel like the entire room was dirty. Disappointing

Staff were courteous. The room was spacious, but very tired. The carpet was stained and there was black mould stains all over the bath/shower, with a stained shower curtain. The bedside lamps were thick with dust and I had fiddle to get them to get them to switch on. The TV was also switched off at the wall so I had to go behind to switch it on. There didn't appear to be many guests over Christmas so it was a shame that it felt I had been put in a room that wasn't prepared fully for someone to stay in. The bed was comfortable and the linen of good quality and clean. I was disappointed to be given a room directly over the bar, facing the main road as it was quite noisy. Luckily I was literally just sleeping there as I was visiting family over Christmas. This was my second stay at this hotel and was disappointed on this occasion. If it wasn't for it being walking distance to my family's home, I would have stayed for a lot less at the Premier Inn. Previously I believe I was in room 11, this time I was in room 7. For this occasion, it was clean and comfortable to sleep in, but i wouldn't recommend it as a room to spend any more time in.
