The hotel and room are nice, it's a 5 star rating. There's only one drawback, the TV isn't a smart TV. My 3-year-old doesn't play on his phone, he only watches YouTube on the TV, and he threw a tantrum because there wasn't a smart TV in the room. A 5-star hotel should have all TVs the same, no discrimination. I'm actually disappointed with this. I'll think twice if I want to stay here again, afraid of getting a room with an old-fashioned TV, not a smart TV 🤣. Please reconsider this. There are no hotels without smart TVs these days, except for hotels in the interior. This is especially true in the city center, even 5-star hotels. We need to reconsider replacing all TVs that aren't smart TVs. Thank you.

The spring bed was in poor condition, rocking constantly. There were cockroaches in the bedroom.

The hotel staff, especially the receptionists who greeted guests at check-in, provided very poor service. Specifically, the three staff members on duty on May 22-23, 2026, showed no smiles or friendliness, had sullen faces, and in my opinion, provided poor service. This was a very bad experience. We urge hotel management/supervisors on duty to retrain these CS staff.

Our stay at the Cambridge Hotel Medan was very pleasant. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist, Ms. Fira. Check-in was quick and easy. One of our rooms was upgraded from a superior to a deluxe room. The hotel facilities were quite good: the room was clean, the bathroom clean, and the shower powerful.
