The rooms seem poorly maintained, but the bathrooms are clean. The food is lacking in variety and not very tasty.

I’ve stayed at City Hall Medan multiple times, back when it was still branded under Aston, and the experience has consistently been excellent. The service is always reliable, and the staff’s hospitality truly stands out. One of the things my family appreciates most is how spacious the rooms are, along with the hotel’s prime location right in the heart of Medan, surrounded by many iconic landmarks. The breakfast is another highlight. It offers a wide variety of options, ranging from local Indonesian dishes to Asian and European cuisine, all well-prepared and satisfying. Overall, City Hall Medan remains one of the best hotels in the city, especially considering its very reasonable pricing.

Stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms. I also tried the apartment room. It was just as comfortable, the service was good and friendly, the breakfast was delicious and varied. I'll definitely stay here again next time. 😊

The hotel breakfast was great, the choices were varied, I deliberately chose a staycation at Grand Cityhall because I could directly access the CFD around the hotel, there was a slight problem when checking in, I got a smoking room, even though I had made a request in the app for a non-smoking room, but when I arrived at the hotel it was not fulfilled, honestly, staying in a smoking room is less comfortable, the facilities and cleanliness are okay.

The service was good. The reception staff was friendly. I met Ms. Deya at check-out, and she was very friendly and asked how my stay was. The breakfast was also delicious and complete. Perfect.
