Dinner and breakfast were great. Staff were not helpful at check in. After the restaurant closed, staff sat on the front patio and smoked for over an hour. With no air conditioning we had the windows open to cool down the room, which are directly above the patio. The second-hand smoke smell filled the room so bad we had to shut them, which wasn’t pleasant.

Staying at the Aplinhotel Bort was a highlight of our trip. We loved the location, room, playground ;), and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

An incredible spot. We chose to leave the car in town and enjoyed the gondola up. If you stay a night it should be half price. The views were amazing and the gondola stops at the property. Probably the most scenic accommodation ever. Also good food and drink and nice staff. 10/10z

The location is great, quiet, nice views, close to Hiking trails. Had dinner & breakfast there with friends. Food is delicious, service was good &staff are helpful & accomodating

In staying at 9 different hotels for our 2 week vacation this was our favorite hotel. We took the Gondola up to the hotel and then from there it was very easy to go to Grindelwald 'First' and was very accesible to some great hikes in the area, and then once the Gondola stopped at 6:00 p.m. it became very quiet and peaceful at the hotel. We had the restaurant and the mountain to ourselves for the rest of the night. Although we read many comments discouraging driving up to the hotel, we definitely could have driven up as we had good weather and the paved road is very driveable in the summer.

Quintin checked me in after I arrived late. He was extremely professional, friendly and kind. I will definitely refer all my friends and family to come to this amazing beautiful property.

Expensive to stay but great views. Playground available on site for young children. Restaurant had a decent menu. Fun bunk beds for kids in family room we had. Close to First for activities. Friendly helpful staff.

What a wonderful location that can’t be beat! I wish we didn’t have to pay for the gondola every time we went to the property, though.

We only stayed one night while exploring all the fun activities of Grindelwald. Perfect location. Beautiful views and a great room for a family of 4. Very comfortable temperature at night. Both dinner and breakfast was excellent. They accommodated my gluten allergy very well.

This stay was a wonderful experience! The room was a little cozy for a family of 4 (two teens), but my teens loved the cubby bunk beds, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the view was spectacular!

Amazing property. The driving up was a bit disconcerting with the single lane road shared with the trot bikes coming down but it was worth it. The views are amazing and the rooms were great. The dinner in the restaurant was worthy of fine dining. 100% would recommend.

Amazing hotel with views of mountain peaks, glaciers, and nature! There’s a restaurant on site with great food and breakfast is included. Room is well designed and fit 6 of us easily. Bathroom is remodeled and has great shower. Parking was available for free and you can drive up or take the gondola. There’s a large playground that the kids loved! You have easy access to the gondola to get up to first mountain or down to Grindewald.
