Midtown Hotel Samarinda is strategically located on Jalan Hasan Basri No. 58, Bandara Village, Sungai Pinang District. It's right across from KFC (drive-thru) and Kopi Tiam Ah-pek, among others. The pool is kid-friendly and the rooms are aesthetically pleasing. You can order rice boxes at the pool, my favorite is the black tongue. The price is affordable and the breakfast menu is varied and delicious, my favorites are the betutu chicken and fried rice 🤤😍

Overall it's okay, maybe a small complaint is only because I got a room with a connecting door to the next room so the sound from the next room was really clear to hear and at that time I brought a baby so it was a little disturbed.

I'm from Banjarmasin staying here for 3 days from July 3rd to 6th because there was a Japanese language certification activity. We were very impressed, especially during breakfast, the food was delicious and varied. Met Chef Yadie in person, very humble, and excellent service, giving the right example to mingle with customers during breakfast. Mantap Chef, thank you for your breakfast so delicious and refill so fast. The room is also clean, the AC is also cold, the TV has many channels. Wow, I'm very satisfied staying here. Overall, I really liked it here. It's a budget hotel that's not just any hotel. There are also plenty of food options around the hotel. Upon check-in, you're given two cards, which I found very convenient: one for electricity and one for the elevator, so you don't have to keep turning them on and off when you leave your room.
