This hotel is in a great location, close enough to walk to center of village but still quiet. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the surrounding hills.,( we had the star gazer room ) Breakfast was excellent! Highly recommend!

Clean room, attentive staff. Pet friendly room, staff went above and beyond and gave our dog a sausage. Breakfast brilliant!

We had a fab stay at victoria house the staff were great made us feel at home, we stayed in the shepherds hut it was spotless clean bedding clean towels, everything you needed. We really enjoyed the breakfast hot choice and cold buffet more than you could eat, staff at breakfast were amazing will go back again ,well done to you all x

We had a wonderful stay at Victorian House. Alex was a fabulous host and nothing was too much trouble. They accommodated us being vegan and gluten free at breakfast and oat milk in the room. There were also surprise balloons and a card in the room for my birthday and a free upgrade which was a wonderful surprise. We definitely recommend Victorian House and hope to stay again

We loved every part of our stay at Victorian House. From the helpful and friendly staff, clean room, great ensuite and, amazing breakfast each morning. Excellent location into the town and also close to bus stops. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Victorian House was really nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was very pleasing. The interiors of the house are beautifully curated and we particularly enjoyed being so well located with parking and the lovely breakfast we were served. The only thing that would improve the stay would be new tvs in the rooms but this is minor. We're very much looking forward to returning, excellent stay and great value for money.

Welcome cake on arrival, immaculately clean room, soft towels, comfortable bed, freshly made full Cumbrian breakfast, lovely friendly and efficient staff. Couldn’t fault it!

A wonderful pet friendly hotel in the heart of Grasmere. It was decorated beautifully, and the room we had was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of cooked options and a buffet style breakfast too (not to mention the dog got a sausage every morning!). Our only feedback would be that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, though it was only three nights. It would’ve been good to have the mugs and water jug refreshed, however I’m sure if we’d asked this would’ve happened, as the staff were friendly and happy to help. We would absolutely stay here again.

The he Victorian House was a delight to stay in, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were lovely. The property is on the edge of grasmere and is very conveniently located near shops, the bus stop and cafes etc.

Loved the shepherds hut with the stream running just outside. Great breakfast and lovely staff.
