This was a grand Villa, whch turned into a hotel in 1960. Everything is updated and beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous. Staff is wonderful. We loved our room. All was wonderful and I highly recommend. Just know that there is a 7 minute walk to the beginning of Salo's passeggiata.

The staff is fantastic, this is my second time staying here and I will always want to come back. The views are amazing, and so it the location. It’s always great staying here and I’m looking forward to my next stay!

Beautiful property, amazing staff and super walkable to Salo!

This is a very special hotel, full of style, history and charm. With a flair for excellent service, every member of the team went out of their way to help make our stay comfortable and memorable. Superb evening meal and wine recommendation.

Stunning hotel

We booked this hotel after reading positive reports on another platforn. The Laurin is a really lovely hotel just outside and within easy walking distance to Salò, with a lovely Agatha Christie feel with warm genuine staff who want to make your stay as memorable as possible. The only drawback is that some may find the road noise annoying especially the motorbikes but not to disturb you at night only when reading by the pool. Also the garden / pool area is quite small where you feel you’re sitting on top of each other. That aside would totally recommend staying at the Laurin as we are quite discerning travellers! Thank you Laurin.

I love the old school vibe this hotel gives. It has a lot of character. Also the woman at the reception desk (i think her name was Greta) was SO helpful and gave so many good recommendations for food and activities. One thing i didnt like was there were no irons in the room. I had to either send my clothes for ironing service which i had to pay for or go downstairs and use the iron which wasnt practical for me. Otherwise, this was a beautiful hotel.

Beautiful art deco hotel

Simply beautiful property and truly welcoming and professional staff! Some hotels just get things ‘right’ and Hotel Laurin is certainly one of them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

We loved our stay at Hotel Laurin. The property is far more impressive than the pictures let on. It’s a stunning building with beautiful and historic common areas. We really loved having breakfast on the patio overlooking the lake in the morning. The staff were very hospitable and helped us book a great boat rental. We were also treated to a free upgrade and loved our renovated room with the lake view.

Amazing staff nothing to much trouble.lovely room with balcony facing the lake,view is spectacular. Pool area clean and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful property! The combination of the old and preserve building together with the modern design of the room makes this hotel one of the most beautiful hotels I have been in. The location is also perfect! And the staff is awesome. Will defiantly return to this place.

What a stunning property. It was so charming and the breakfast was wonderful! The town of Salo was also beautiful. Lots to see and eat. All of the staff were king and helpful.
