Stayed for the annual Beer Lovers Marathon - great location, breakfast was perfect and 10th floor bar was ideal. Easy recommendation.

Great food and drinks at Brasserie . Sky bar is lovely . Lovely breakfast . Great location . Air Con needs improvement as room was warm . Otherwise great hotel .

Good stay, room was clean, no issues. Good bathroom. I would stay here again, I like the toucans. Staff were great, friendly and were able to help. Parking is a little confusing it's both underground and to the left of the hotel and not included in the price for your room.

first of all their breakfast buffet is exceptional. we stayed at the junior suite, the room was very clean and nice.

It was a good stay. Nice food in the restaurant and good beers on draught. The pool and sauna were a welcome bonus.

Booked a king room, and was given two double beds. Asked why my reservation was not honored, and could not get a straight answer from the staff. Disappointing.

Hotel was within walkable distance of the town centre. Staff friendly and food good. Bed very comfortable. There is a sky bar but this is just a bar on the top floor with a view over the river. It has a limited selection of drinks - there is a greater selection of drinks in the bar attached to the restaurant downstairs. Although the spa and pool are open every day, the pool is closed to residents for classes at certain times. Also while we stayed there, our room was not serviced. Probably just an oversight. As we were only staying 2 nights, it didn’t matter but had I been staying longer it would have been a problem

It was on the whole very good with convenient restaurants, pool, spa. Breakfast is however vastly overpriced so we opted out which causes inconvenience in an otherwise restful stay. We opted for a riverview but you have to go over to the window to see it- wished I hadnt paid extra!

Van der Valk upgraded my standard room on day one without asking only to downgrade me and switch my rooms for day two after I came to complain about my room key not working because “I didn’t pay for an executive room for the second day”. This experience completely ruined my mood and the staff missed out on an opportunity to address my complaint in an adequate manner.
