I chose to stay at Hotel Sahid because I was participating in the ISOPLUS Run 2026, and the location was incredibly convenient, especially with its close proximity to Surabaya City Hall, where the event was held. For a rate of under IDR 300,000, I honestly found the value quite impressive. The room came with a comfortable, soft king-size bed, a pleasant city view that became especially beautiful at night, and a Daikin air conditioner that kept the room genuinely cool and comfortable. Hot water was also included, which was a nice touch after a long day and even more appreciated after participating in the run. The stay itself had a lovely balance of classic elegance and warm hospitality. The staff were genuinely friendly, courteous, and welcoming. One of the female staff members especially stood out with her graceful presence, warm smile, subtle sense of humor, and effortless way of making conversations feel comfortable. There was something naturally pleasant about her manner—elegant without trying too hard, and professional yet wonderfully human. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the lobby. The grand piano adds a beautiful artistic touch, and I appreciated that guests are free to play it. It gives the lobby a unique character, almost like a quiet little stage where the atmosphere can come alive through music. Overall, Hotel Sahid offers a charming combination of strategic location, classic elegance, warm hospitality, and great value. A comfortable king-size bed, beautiful night-time city views, cold AC, hot water, and an artistic lobby—all for under IDR 300,000—is genuinely hard to complain about. It made my stay for ISOPLUS Run 2026 comfortable, enjoyable, and surprisingly memorable.
