Good location hotel. However, very small rooms and no aircon. They have an internal heat recirculation system that’s useless. Our room opened to an inner courtyard view so impossible to get fresh air into the room. It was very small and ridiculously hot. The staff were helpful and friendly, supplied a portable fan on request. However the room was literally a sweat box. Would not stay again for this reason. The corridor outside the rooms was lovely and cool!

I was so impressed with the staff! After the longest day of travel we got there way too early for check in assuming we would have to drop our bags and try to stay awake all afternoon. The front desk got us in early and saved our bodies. The breakfast was amazing the location could not be more ideal and I will absolutely be back!

Easy location, nice and clean

I would highly recommend staying here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The lounge/bar area is super cute and cozy. Our room was adorable, with a comfy bed. The location was ideal for all our adventures and walking around. With great views from the lounge. We didn't have a "view" from our room but that was one thing that we done care about as we were only ever there to sleep.

Very, very good find. Hotel staff was superb, coordinating rooms with our large group and finding a way for early check in. Rooms are very clean and efficient. Lounge area is large, comfortable and quiet. Close to everything: the train station, the airport bus, and of course the Royal Mile. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Perfect location for all the amenities and it’s opposite the train station as well. The room we had was quite small but nothing to worry about. The bar is nice and it’s all very retro so all in all a nice hotel.

Pros: excellent location, good size room (I had the room without a view) with functional hanging bar at entry, firm supportive bed with good reading lamps (wonderful), and friendly helpful staff Cons: None other than the continental breakfast would be improved with just a couple of hot options (eg oatmeal, scrambled eggs)

It was nice but very old carpet and smelled wet. It is perfect location though. Needs new carpet. The staff was amazing. So will be back because of the staff.

Close to the trains and in the center of many things, it is quite a nice hotel and well worth the stay. The room was kept clean and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, the staff were very helpful and pleasant, the room temperature was unbearably warm, the A/C was just blowing hot air not matter what I set it to, it was just a dial A/C it wouldn't even turn off, in the end I had to go to reception and the woman brought us a fan and opened the window fully, which made it a little more bearable.

Amazing location right opposite Waverley station! The view from the hotel bar was fab and the hotel itself is nice and modern.

Location was excellent! Room on the smaller side but did not feel cramped. A/c can be improved, we needed to open the windows to cool the room. Overall satisfied with our stay.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our one-night stay was extremely concerning due to serious safety and administrative failures. At check-in, staff struggled to locate our reservation despite us having a valid booking. Although payment was taken, the process took much longer than expected, and we were eventually given a room. The most alarming issue occurred at around 12:30 AM when a staff member entered our room while we were asleep to check whether it was vacant. Being woken up by someone opening the door in the middle of the night was frightening, especially as two women traveling alone in a foreign country. After spending over an hour with staff, it emerged that despite our payment being processed, we had never been properly registered in the hotel’s system. Our room was marked out of order, our reservations had been cancelled, our registration paperwork could not be found, and staff were unable to explain how any of this had happened. The reservation had to be reactivated in the middle of the night. What concerns me most is that, according to the hotel’s records, we effectively did not exist as guests despite having paid and checked in. Had an emergency occurred, there would have been no accurate record of us staying at the property. We later sent a formal complaint requesting an explanation, but never received a response. While the staff we spoke to were polite, no one was able to provide answers. Overall, this experience left us feeling unsafe and disappointed.

Great stay in great location

An easy place to stay overnight while waiting for a train connection. I would be happy to stay again.
