it was just ok, the was a strong sewage smell outside, and the room was too warm, when I opened to window to let fresh air in, it made to room stink.

The worst hotel experience I have ever had. The room I was shown to had blocked up windows that didn’t open and were actually inside a roof space. The air conditioner sounded like a light aircraft taking off. The room was claustrophobic and it was like some sort of prison cell or a rogue landlord’s HMO. There was a tiny 12”x10” opening window that opened in the top left hand corner that was right by an automatic flood light. The door to the room had gaps around it so that light from the corridor flooded in. The mattress was covered in bobbles and the only redeeming feature was the shower. I asked to change room twice. I was told they were fully booked whilst the car park was empty both evening and early morning when I left. When first shown to my room I tripped over badly. At first I thought I’d been clumsy and felt a bit embarrassed. When approaching the stairs again, it wasn’t the stairs I’d tripped over but a sudden up slope or cable carpeted over. Due to the dinghy light you don’t initially notice it, or the trip hazard wires in the corner of the first step like a bowl of spaghetti. Whilst I remained polite at all times the initially friendly staff became passive aggressive when I asked to cancel my booking. I was abruptly told to leave my key in the door. The room should be a store room not a letting room. Planning should inspect this property. Outrageous!

The room was quiet even on the main road side with a very comfortable bed. The location was excellent for our needs and included lots of free parking. The WIFI didn’t work very well in our room and we couldn’t get online at night, but were able to connect in the morning. The hotel includes an Indian restaurant so there was a strong smell of curry throughout the property.

Perfect place to stay whilst my mum was recovering in the linden hill clinic. Great new bathroom. Didn't eat downstairs but it looked fab too.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Furniture a bit worn. No bedside lamp or switch to switch lights off. Wifi didn't work at all despite me phoning reception twice about it. Was told to exit through an escape door the following morning which felt a bit impersonal. Noisy location

Very good value for money. The bed and facilities in the room were all very clean. The staff were polite and courteous. Better than most Travelodge which are more expensive.

On checking in to my stay, the staff were very unhelpful. So much so that they didn’t explain to me that in the morning there was a back door you have to exit from, without knowing this information I found myself locked in the property with no idea how to get out. This made me very late for work. My room was boiling, and wasn’t advertised that it had no windows that opened to the outside. The windows to the room opened out in to a corridor leading to other rooms. This meant the room was also pretty loud with people walking past the door and windows. On arriving back from work on my second night stay I was greeted by a much more helpful member of staff that told me that I should never have been given that room due to a key to the room being taken by a guest and it was a safety issue. I then had to switch rooms. At least the new room had windows that opened to the outside. Personally I will not use this “hotel” again. Unfortunately the price did not reflect the type of stay I received. To many negatives in such a short stay is worrying.

Positives Free and ample parking. Negatives Hellishly expensive restaurant with no discount for residents. Poor selection of beers or ales. Cleaniless of the room in particular window sills left a lot to be desired. The downstairs of the hotel is a restaurant and nice looking but upstairs was the complete opposite. Advertised as a hotel, when in reality it is a restaurant with bedsit like accommodation. Breakfast order was taken the night before with a set time. Small cups for tea and only half filled and rather stewed. Poached eggs were cold, hard and rubbery. Sausage looked half cooked and rather pale like it has only been griddled one on side. No choice of toast, simply given white. Overall it was disappointing and certainly won't be returning.

There was a party going on in the restaurant downstairs until gone 11, and the music was loud enough to shame the entire room. Avoid staying here, the room is less than basic, plain white walls and bedding, windows that open into a hallway, and the WiFi doesn't work. Giant air con unit just pulling air from the next room over, horrendously un-eco-friendly.

I must admit to being surprised as I was expecting a traditional pub with rooms and not an Indian restaurant however the staff were so very friendly and helpful. The food was very good if a little expensive The hotel accommodation was excellant value especially as it included breakfast.

A lovely stop over! My husband and I booked last minute and couldn’t have been more pleased. We were made to feel welcome from the beginning of our stay to the end and the Indian restaurant hit the spot. Will definitely be back
