Hotel as in a location that you couldn’t really drive directly to the front of the door. Parking needs to be reversed prior or else you will have to park at the public parking close by. The parking was close but having to transfer luggages over wasn’t ideal. The staff at reception wasn’t really friendly and no smile on her face. I didn’t feel welcomed at the hotel. I would not stay here again.

Very well priced apartment with good connections to Brussels

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was helpful but there was a particular staff that was probably new and she spoke English but I didn’t think she understood.

Very haphazard room layout. Sprawling building and room numbering makes little sense. Not properly explained at check in, and despite asking for an easy to get to room I had to take two lifts and steps with a heavy case. When I asked for help with my case in checkout I was told ‘we don’t have a bell service’. A technician kindly helped me.

An extremely comfortable night’s sleep. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

I wanted to change the date but impossible to find a compromise with the owner, very very strict... so i did not come to the hotel

Amazing stay

Wi-Fi was not working so was moved to another (smaller) room. The surrounding area is still very much a building site.

Must stay! Such a beautiful and historical hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms with high ceilings. Gorgeous grounds, with seating by the water outside. We stayed here while visiting for Tomorrowland and it worked out perfectly. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend! Parking can get confusing with the construction and stuff so make sure to park in the large parking garage and walk over the bridge next to McDonald’s to the main entrance of the hotel.

The hotel let us check in early and extend the check out time, it’s very nice and friendly!

Lovely hotel on the edge of Mechelen. Shame about the building work opposite which has been going on over a year and looks like it will not be finished anytime soon. Parking is in the nearby multi-storey. Walking distance from town, many places to eat.

Old world charm very nicely updated, stay in the Loft if it's available amazing!

It says nothing on the website to warn guests the hotel is currently in the middle of a building site. We were woken every morning by heavy machinery outside our room. No safe walk into town for anyone with mobility issues. Despite warning of a food allergy, the kitchens ignored this, wiping out 24 hours of our stay. The management remained indifferent to these concerns. Terrible customer service.

The balcony was so dirty and full of pigeon droppings and there was no chair to set, and the most confused thing to me that I am not allowed to smoke in the balcony!!! so you can't set bacause its so dirty with no chairs and you can't stand to smoke because you are not allowed! So why I have to book a room with balcony if I can't use it. Also in a rainy area like Mechelen, a four star hotel don't have an umbrella to afford!

the hotel is good, close the the city with a very nice team members. the bathroom wasn't ideal and the surraonding is full of work (arranging the road and parking).
