Only negative is the hotel’s parking situation. We drove around the property (as best we could) and was unable to find any signs/directions. We knew there was limited parking on site but could only find out that it was full once stood at reception (which I was whilst partner waited with engine running on side road). Was then told that we could use the car park on Thompson Road (diagonally opposite hotel). Although maybe not as secure/convenient as onsite parking, £11 for 24hours was a much cheaper rate than hotel’s £24 for same time and literally a 5 min walk.

The room was very spacious and all the amenities were very clean. Staff were very helpful and gave us options what floor we were going to be staying on. Overall we would certainly stay here again.

Only criticism is the breakfast was only warm. Plates were cold so that didn’t help.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was spotless, and the two single beds were actually generous queen‑size beds, which made it so comfortable. The breakfast was great too, with plenty of gluten‑intolerance‑friendly options. It’s perfectly located — just a five‑minute walk from the centre of Manchester — which made getting around so easy. This was our first city break for just me and my daughter, and it couldn’t have been better. I’m sure we’ll be back. Thank you!

Extremely poor experience, room.was not sufficiently air conditioned, and was over 25 degrees on entry. Even at highest cooling, only cooled room. By a half degree, dominika on front desk was unhelpful and did not provide an alternative room offer. Trying to request a refund as ended up leaving after 3 hours because of the heat, was literally sweating

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton at Manchester, the room was nice and clean, they had a mini fridge to keep my drinks cool, the staff was really friendly and provided a welcoming environment. I loved having breakfast, seeing the range of foods at their breakfast buffet, where they accounted to the dietary needs of their guests. They also gave guests the opportunity to have a waffle for breakfast, using a waffle maker with the option of mini marshmallows and sprinkles to use.

The breakfest is absolute pain - nowhere to sit - not enough staff to free the tables where people are left. Whatever food is brought out - was gone in a minute - simply pain. Other than that - hotel is quite nice!

Location was good, very close to the city centre. The hotel was clean and good value for money for a family of three.

Room was excellent for a family of 3 adults,my only issue was breakfast & the rude person shouting to customers to hurry up as she shuts the breakfast at 10.00!! This was 09.30

The stay was ok, however as reported by many other guests, the air conditioning is completely ineffective. The room was 25.5 degrees. Having set the controller to 19 degrees (the lowest it would go), I hoped to hear the ventilation come on and the room to start to cool. However, it was questionable whether there was actually any cold air coming through the vent as I could not really feel or hear anything. When I awoke in the morning, the temperature on the panel was 24.5 degrees even though the temperature was still set to cool to 19. Since it is not possible to open windows in the room, this meant for a very stuffy and interrupted nights sleep. With many other guests reporting the same issue, it sounds like this hotel needs to invest in upgrading the air conditioning system.

Overall, very nice day nice rooms very clean. But breakfast was appalling. No cups or teabags at the drinks machine. No cutlery to be found anywhere. Queue for food went all the way around the restaurant people waiting for more food to be brought out. The only appears to be two people working in the restaurant one may greeting you one young man clearing tables. We ended up leaving without having any food or drink.

Absolute shambles of a place! On arrival there was a que to check in which was so long that it went out of the doors. It took us half an hour to get checked in and by that time the que behind us was going down the street! The room was fine, clean bed, hot shower, standard hotel amenities. On returning to our room later that night we had been in the room 5 minutes when all the electricity went off. We tried to call reception but got no answer so my husband had to go down to get help, leaving me in a pitch black room. A lady arrived and told us it was something to do with the electrical box in the room, she managed to get the power back on for us and left us to get some sleep. Breakfast was another disaster! The que was horrendous, there were people leaving without eating at all. No cups/mugs available, no cutlery and when we did get to the food service it was a joke. The chefs had no prepared enough food and we could hear raised voices from the kitchen basically shouting 'How can I feed all these people when I have nothing left, I have no food'. It was the worst hotel experience we have ever had and after paying £395 for 2 rooms for 1 night its has woefully fell short of the standard we expected. Never again!
