' Deluxe' double room was very small not big enough to have a chair in it, hardly room for one open case let alone two, one bedside lamp didn't have a bulb in it, duvet and pillows were very heavy and lumpy - we had to remove the winter duvet and use just the cover. Television screen kept going blank. Only scented tea bags provided - no English breakfast tea. Staff were polite and helpful.

Wells next the sea is, as always, simply stunning and unique. The Globe Hotel is well situated in a leafy area of Wells. The room was okay, if a little tired, decor wise ie: paintwork needed touching up, but was clean and well stocked with beverages both hot and cold. The bed was a tad uncomfortable for sleeping, it felt like a well used mattress. On the whole the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was well presented with a good choice of hot dishes along with continental food.

We travel around the uk regularly for weekends away as a couple. This was the best place that we’ve stayed in by far. The location is great the rooms are excellent and furnished with a nice modern decor with a great shower and very comfortable bed The bar is nice and the outdoor areas to drink or eat are lovely. The room came with free breakfast meaning that it was even better value for money than we thought when booking. The staff were all really professional and very helpful. We would love to go back while the outdoor food and drink area in the courtyard was open and we plan to do so

The Globe Inn is comfortable and cozy with delicious breakfasts and drinks! We loved all the options for where you could sit, relax, and have a drink or snack--both indoors and out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the town of Well-next-the-sea is adorable.

I was unable to use my booking as i had 2 funerals to attend. My daughters came instead. They said mum you would have hated it stank everywhere of dogs and they were in the dining room. It seems you are more dog friendly than people friendly

The food was good although not hot at times, the winter dinner menu was acceptable but not to our taste. The hotel was completely dog friendly, slightly dated in places but we would stay there again.

Breakfast was well cooked but unfortunately I don’t like streaky bacon, seasoned tomato and large field mushrooms that are also seasoned. I think that should be left to the individual to decide at the table. Was very pet friendly .

This was a great place - room clean and warm with comfy bed and all the home comforts. Both pub and restaurant had welcoming atmosphere - friendly staff and lovely food.

Spacious and spotless room, no evening noise which is really important for us. Breakfast and evening meal were both delicious. You must book ahead for the evening meal as restaurant gets very busy and people were being turned away.

The room was good but there was a couple of small items that need correcting. The water takes ages to drain from the bath, the shower needs instructions printed and displayed. On arrival at check in, you should be informed that you need to ask for milk for your tea or coffee in your room as there is not any in the room.

Lovely choices for breakfast. The staff work hard, but are also friendly and attentive. A very efficient experience. The actual dining room and bar are both very comfortable.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. The restaurant had a lot of dogs, which isn’t too good in a restaurant. The breakfast cup was very stained, so I had to get it swapped, but the food was very nice, with a lot of choice. Staff were very friendly, and we had a good laugh with them.

What an absolute gem of a place! There's nothing like a fantastic breakfast to start the day and oh boy did we get it here . Also I had the fish and chips one evening and it has to be said it ranks along side the best I have ever eaten....Attentive staff who clearly know what they are doing . We have never stayed in Wells before but we will definitely stay here again when we return.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and very generous portions. Our room was small and lacked anywhere to sit and also the bedside tables were very small. The bed was very comfortable. The corridor and stairs leading to our room smelled of dirty dogs but the room was ok.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful part of the country. Room splendid as was the breakfast and the staff. Two things that disappointed. Firstly the room naming on Hotel.com was miss leading they called it deluxe which doesn’t exist. It was actually a small king. To be fair they upgraded us when I queried it. Second reason only giving 3 stars. They hardly had any vegetarian meals. My wife choose the pea risotto only to be told it had been removed. I wanted a steak but they had run out by 7.30pm. I then had the sausage and mash but the sausages were massively over cooked! If it wasn’t for the bottle of wine we were already half way down I would have gone somewhere else. I’ve stayed at several of the hotels in the group and always been so impressed so my expectations were high but in the end felt let down and disappointed which is such a shame as it’s a nice hotel!

One of the best dog friendly pubs on the Norfolk coast. Excellent.
