Was ok good night sleep

Hotel is in desperate need of a refurb. Staff not always available as you’re around. Shower holder needed tightening. Temperature controller fell off in my partner’s hand. Mould on the toilet blinds. Bathroom window had no privacy effect on it. Whole place run down. £6 per person for breakfast, however it was shocking. Had to pay £50 pending deposit incase we made any damage but was not made aware of this before coming. Avoid hotel, will not be staying here again.

When we got there the room was not as we expected there was stains on the wall rips in the wallpaper the shower was broken the door was very hard to shut. When we went to go out there was a stair rail that had broken I had told manger and he said he would fix it. When we come back the raining had just been tucked behind the wall paper that was hanging off the wall.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel at very last minute. For the money we paid for the night it was okay £46. Nothing fancy but adequate for our needs. Bed was made and clean. We were on the top floor with a sea view, which was very warm. No air con. If you want fancy this hotel is not for you. If you want a place to put your head down cheaply then it's fine. There are no airs and graces.

The room was very clean, comfortable bed. All my basic needs for a one stop, just driving by. Staff were very friendly felt safe as single woman traveler. They could not do enough with any requests. I wished the TV was bigger and a working Arial signal was in the room. But I was not in the room much so it never really mattered. There was parking, luckily just outside the door. Would stay again if I visited.

Comfortable stay and good value but could be better maintained. WiFi, TV, and drawers didn’t work. Friendly staff. Ok value for money. 15 minutes to town centre. Short walk to the beach.

Room was dirty ,no lock on bathroom door, TV kept going off because WiFi was weak, carpet was dirty, this was the birchfield hotel that they transferred us too we were charged for early check-in, never felt safe in this hotel.

Was transferred to the birchfield hotel was charged for early check-in room was basic also was woken up by smoke alarm staff dont know what they are doing no toiletries in the bathroom only handsoap not replenishing toilet rolls or tea and coffee room was not very clean no lock on the toilet door and shower was blocked. Television kept going off because lack of wifi. Walls and cupboards are dirty. Member of staff woke us up because he couldn't get into next door bedroom to clean because he had the wrong key so he had to come through our bedroom and onto the balcony to access next door. Overall it has been the worse hotel we have stayed in.

Erm good and bad points. Me and my partner spontaneously wanted to get away for a night and drove the motorbike straight here arriving after 10pm. In the booking details at the time of booking it does not clarify that the hotel DOES NOT allow check in after 10pm. However there was a helpful gentleman on site that luckily helped us check in without any additional charges too! He made us very welcome, explained the security on the main door, WiFi and gave us an out of hours contact number if we needed. This made us feel comfortable for our stay. Tea and coffee making facilities in room - Yes but basic. No lift for the stairs. For the price it’s a bed for the night. Can’t complain about that. Comfy bed and pillows. Very strange bathroom. Toilet seat didn’t stay open properly, carpeted half way through, the shower water was barely warm - the bathroom sink had hotter water in it. In need of a bed to sleep in with water and a toilet. For the price. Wasn’t terrible

Very limited parking at hotel.staff very pleasant and helpfull. The building is generaly in an urgent need of a refurb throughout .which is a shame as the building is situated in an ideal position over looking the sea ..

A clean, quiet hotel, passed its payday. Our room was a little old fashioned, but scrupulously clean, bed very comfortable with a good clean shower and toilet. The hotel goes not offer food and a lot of the common areas are unused and not illuminated. Helpful staff and free parking. About 7 minutes walk to the winter gardens/pier

Shower had tempermental dial amd couldnt get the temperature correct water was boiling or cold not in the middle. We paid our booking then when arrived try to charge extra for damage feea that were not in terms and conditions of booking . Pillows were syper flat and uncomfy room was awfully cold

Room dirty carpet badly stained and in need of a good hoover. Windows so dirty unable to see out.

Parking very limited, stayed in room 14 but had frosted windows above the door which let the light from outside in. Doors were hinged doors so had to be slammed to shut. Quite noisy at times of the night. Was a budget stay so didn’t expect the ritz but the room was adequate

Value for money. A cheap and cheerful place to sleep after a day at the beach. Basic, but it had everything we needed.

This hotel is so dated, poorly kept, and not cleaned to a satisfactory level. We had dirty sheets and dirty coffee cups in the room. The guy on reception was very friendly, it has a good location and free parking, but unfortunate that’s not enough to make me want to return!
