It's an older property, dated rooms, leaking bath faucet, BUT it's good for the money, location, privacy. Comfortable beds with clean beddings, no bugs, no issues. Nothing fancy, but great as a 1-night stop-over on a long drive. John, who operated the motel, is super friendly and helpful, gave us great tips about the area.

The motel is quite run down. The windows are just sliding panes of glass that dont even lock. The furniture is beat up and old and the tub drain had rust all around it. I didnt expect much for the price. Dont think I'd stay here again

No doubt the owner was friendly and welcoming but the property was old. The AC wasn’t working on a hot day so he requested us to manage with windows open. But there were trillions of mosquitoes. So room was extremely hot.. humid and full of mosquitoes. I could see red ants coming from the doorway on red carpet. The washroom was all clean but the toilet flush was old and not working. Overall, room was okay-ish. TV was small but had good number of channels and OTTs. If you just need a bed to layover for 6-7 hrs and leave.. then probably would recommend .. but we were with kids.. and stayed for 18 hrs .. we had a difficult time staying with all these issues.. There were shops nearby.. pizza hut.. local fish n chips etc

It is in a charming little town of Schreiber. Check out the Railway museum if you can. Also I stayed in room 2 and it had the strongest water pressure that I have ever experienced.

An adequate room, but it was a little run down. Hand towel rack missing from the wall, wifi was spotty. room door curtain missing and a garbage bag replaced it. A kettle with coffee/tea would be a welcome addition.

Wonderful time capsule

We pulled in in the evening…. Just before 8:00 pm. Staff were great. Everything in town was closed, so nowhere to get a meal or groceries. But that was not the fault of the motel…just a heads up to future travellers. The room was clean, the bed was all right, but the pillows were not great. A good stay all in all.

Good value for a night on the road. Clean linens and everything. A little dusty and the place is a little old but nothing wrong with that. The showerhead in our room had really strong pressure that was borderline painful and the paper screens on the door window was half gone so people could look into our room lol, but other than that, the room itself was fine. Unfortunately I am a light sleeper and I could hear other travelers gong to their rooms in the middle of the night because of the metal screen doors (even we were guilty of having it close on itself too hard when we were leaving early morning). My travel partner slept through everything though. Pro tip: Hit up Rosie and Josie nearby for food! We had a wonderful dinner there and grabbed a sandwich for the road the next day.

The price was reasonable for what you got. No tv.
