I think you have to look at this place for what it is and what it isn’t. It was clean, well-maintained, comfortable, the AC wall unit worked well, the drinking water jug in room was convenient. Water was plenty hot in the shower. Included coffee for the coffee maker. On-site convenience store was as convenient as it gets for cold drinks and beers and snacks. The staff was warm and helpful with tips even for a quick chat when they were around and curious how my fishing trip was going. Couldn’t be closer to the madness of Secret Beach. If you are recreating on the east side of the island and want an affordable place to crash, I would recommend it. This is best suited for those that are out and about or maybe you want a wild day at secret beach and not worry about driving 45 minutes to your hotel on the other side of the island. I was here for a quick DIY fly fishing trip and it was perfect for me. If you want to watch movies, etc, bring a tablet or be prepared to stream on your phone. There are a couple bars just up the road that serve food and drinks long after everything in secret beach closes. It’s quiet after dark which I enjoyed. I only really spent time on site to sleep and unwind after being on the water all day.I would stay here again any time and felt it was perfect for the solo DIY fisherman! Thanks for the hospitality. Next time I’ll bring some friends and we’ll do a Cabana takeover!

It was just what I imagined, off grid, affordable and an end of the road adventure. Ed and Lynn are some of nicest most accommodating hosts. They helped find affordable adventures even joined us for fishing and snorkeling. Their convenient store and local food suggestions saved me tons of money! If your looking for an OFF GRID adventure this your place!!!

This place is remote so expect solar electricity and solar hot water. That`s fine. But it is very small. Nothing to do after 6pm, the internet is comparable to dial up connection from early 2000, you need to be patient to watch a video because it will lag every 5 seconds. And there was not enough blanket for 3 of us. You can also hear the mice fighting in the ceiling which is the only entertainment you will get.. On the good side, it's very close to secret beach, which is very nice.

Ed.and Lynn are gracious hosts, who operate this cool little property that's somewhat off the beaten track, and off the grid. And that is both the good and not so good. If you take this property for what it is it is great. Ed and Lynn operate these cabanas with a loving hand. The cabanas are smallish, but up- to-date, clean and neat, and comfortable. The feel is very much like a well above average maintained motel suite. Their on site convenience store carries all the basics you might need while on Ambergris,... and it is very... well... convenient. The possible downsides for some could be, the only appliances inside are a bar fridge and coffee maker. Other than the convenience store, there are absolutely no other amenities on site... not so much as a porch or deck, to sit outside and drink your morming coffee... and located on a dusty gravel road just off the beach, here is no scenery either. These may be drawbacks for some, however, for those, like me, on a budget looking for no more than very clean and comfortable accommodations close to the beach with hosts on site, Ed's Adventures is hard to beat. And a 10 minute stroll to the beach, will take you past a couple of food stands that serve full sized delicious breakfasts, and other dishes at reasonable prices. Then you can take in all Secret Beach has to offer... relax or have fun in the sun... enjoy all the bars, restaurants and amenities... For this traveler, my stay at Ed's Adventures was just about perfect.

I just wanted to share how much we enjoyed our visit to Lynn's location! It truly is the best in town. The grocery store there makes everything so convenient, and Lynn was incredibly friendly. Her recommendations were spot on! We will definitely be coming back and can’t wait to recommend it to our family and friends. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Cozy little place, I went with 3 friends to scuba and was a reasonable place to rest every day. Mr. Ed was always accessible and even brought us breakfast in new years day since he knew most places were going to be closed in the area that day, which was an unnecessary nice gesture.

Everything you need is right here. The room was great. I learned a lot from Ed & Lynn about Belize. They're always so hospitable. The price is very affordable compared to some higher priced places. I will definitely stay here again.😎👍

Not a hotel. It’s a cabin behind a convenient store. It’s off the grid. There are not 8 bars. There are beach bars down the road from the cabin. We did not end up staying here.

Very nice cabana with big fridge, 4 min walk to the beach and bars. With a store offering beer and soft drinks and sundries and more. Hosts Mr Ed and Lynn were super gracious hosts. Did I mention beautiful sunsets?
