I would not recommend staying at this motel. The room smelled like pee. The mattress and box springs were full of holes from cigarettes. The rug had stains. The door didn't seal properly and a breeze came through door. Very gross and disgusting room. If I could give the hotel a negative score I would. Plus I reserved a king bed but ended up with a double queen. The rooms are first come first serve.

The property was fine (rooms were clean enough but just felt dirty and old, and the sign that says 'free breakfast' outside is a complete lie), but I would not stay there again. I was told when I checked in that they would take a $100 security deposit and it would be refunded the day after we checked out. I noticed that the deposit was not refunded yet so I called the property to inquire. A very rude man answered and told me that if I didn't specifically ask for it during checkout then it wouldn't be refunded. I was gobsmacked by this! The man who I spoke to kept interrupting and talking over me and needed my credit card information again in order to process it and I explained he already had all of my information. He yelled and said that if I wanted my refund, I'd have to give him my details all over again. He processed my refund immediately but I just can't believe that had I not asked they wouldn't have refunded my money. They are scammers and I can see why this place is barely hanging on to it's 2 stars.

Everything very clean, friendly staff, close to everything , had a great stay. Highly recommended.

The towels were dirty, mold in the walls and ceiling, bed sheets dirty, foul smell. Our sales member went out an purchased his own towel, clean wipes, bed spread to lie down on the bed. Greg ended up sleeping in his car. Would never go back and would not recommend having this as an option on the Expedia site, really gives your company a very disparaging name.

Rooms were disgusting and full of mold. Zero help from the staff.

Old the bed so hard might as well sleep on a floor 2 pillows so thin not very comfortable stay

Terrible establishment. Terrible communication. Held on to my deposit until I called multiple times. The manager told me I was supposed to complete the deposit refund when I checked out, but yet the other employee simply asked me my room number when I checked out and took my keys and that was that. Called about my deposit refund 5 days after check-out to be given the run around for 3 hours saying it was going to be e-transferred to me. (Which seems suspicious as is). The manager then copped an attitude after I’m obviously frustrated that it’s been this complicated. Told me to “hang up now or he wasn’t going to do my e-transfer soon.” Stay away from this place. Bad business with terrible management. So sad, because the rest of the staff were so polite.

This accommodations has bed bugs. Their customer service is horrible and they will not refund you even after seeing the bed bugs for themselves. Then they will try to blame it on Expedia policies even after Expedia contacts them. Expedia will not rectify the situation either.

All around for a lower end hotel stop our experience was good, staff were friendly and accommodating the rooms were safe and clean.

Very clean and quiet. I found it a bit expensive, but that's just bc it's Kamloops, everything in Kamloops is more expensive than other places. It's an older building, nothing flashy, but it's clean, secure, and the water pressure was good, which is all that matters. Would stay again.

there is a multitude of food chooses near by---fast food as well as restaurants the staff were very helpful and cheerful and courteous the pricing is excellent for being in the neighbourhood of the university we enjoyed our stay at Star Lodge

I would never stay here again. Room smelled like smoke, there were even old cans outside a lot of the rooms for cigarette butts. Bedding must have been from the 70's - so old and threadbare. Way overpriced as well.

Breathed pepper spray, saw dead body back of hotel, shower hot water broken, AC broken, table leg broken, tried charging $130 for the already broken shower. Hotel kept half the safety deposit on stuff that was broken and didn’t change our room. No drain plug for bath. Staff was super kind and helpful, but the owner/manager kept half the safety deposit of 100. Yet also tried to charge us 130 for a shower handle.
