Incredibly nice staff

I rarely write reviews unless they are really really good, or really really bad. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst properties I've stayed at ever. I'm writing this in hopes that the management can turn things around and at least start to maintain a basic level of cleanliness and hospitality. Here were the issues: blood stains on the pillow case, a sticky bathroom floor (literally sticky where you can hear your shoes sticking to the floor), the floor in the main bedroom was dirty, there were stains on all the furniture (I didn't find one piece of furniture without a stain), the clear faucets in the bathroom showed some sign of black (black mold?) underneath, taking a shower meant your feet were swimming in a few inches of water (poor tub drainage I think), blistering / cracked ceiling in the bathroom, ventilation either not working or non existent in the bathroom, room smelled like cigarette smoke, a fly must have gotten in somehow so when I arrived, I was greeted by this fly - tried my best to get it out of the room to find out the next morning that it was in there still, and finally, one of the most important - I let them know I was arriving at 7, they then messaged me to let me know that the front desk was only there till 6:30 and they messaged the door code for the room. When I arrived, I used the door code, but didn't see anything for a wifi password. I then messaged them to get that and never heard a reply till the next morning when it was too late. :(

Staff was good, the foot wash didnt work and floor was dirty when we hit there. Also the kitchen were subpar

The location was amazing as it is right across from the beach. It was so convenient. It was helpful to have a foot wash off. Sadly the pool was not functioning and did not know that prior to coming. The staff was kind and friendly. The room was missing an area to hang wet beach clothes (maybe a clothesline in the bathroom). For the price, we could not argue.

We originally stopped by earlier on check in day and requested an earlier check in. Mathew, who was very accommodating said he would try to make it happen and call me when it was ready. He did call around 3 so we went by. The room was not ready yet so we left until about 4:30. We then checked back in signed in. Packing luggage upstairs we noticed a lot of empty beer cans scattered around the parking lot. We got into our room to find it had not been cleaned, beer cans in the sink, beds not made. Mathew apologized and said it would be done in 10 minutes. By 5:30 the cleaners left the room. We again checked in to find the bathroom fan hanging only by its wiring over the tub, the bottom of the filthy, floors still dirty and beds poorly made. We immediately loaded our luggage back up and went back to the office and checked out. Again, Matthew was was very good to deal with and gave a full refund. Unfortunately I would never recommend a stay at this property.

Nice and close to the beach. Clean and quiet room. Smooth after hour check in. Definitely will stay here again!

Did the location, it was an easy 5 star......right in the heart of the action, on the beach. You can't ask for better, especially at a mid week price. The front desk were good as well. However, the room wasn't the room I booked, it was just a connecting piece of a larger room. The bathroom was filthy and the shower head was at the 5 foot level, and at 6'2, that made showering difficult. I can only speak to the room we got, but I'd rate our room at about 2.5. The stairwell was disgusting as well, and despite it being a non smoking property, there were cigarette butts all over the stairs. It was great for location, but I wouldn't spend more than a night or two there, at least not in the room we were in

Room was pretty dirty, sand on the floors and wouldn’t recommend going barefoot unless you want black feet after five minutes. There’s no house keeping and nothing is provided to sweep the floors with, which isn’t ideal having kids who leave a trail of crumbs everywhere they got. The “foot wash station” was disgusting, with the drain clogged and full of cigarette butts.

Great location. Not the best sound proofing. The people next door partying and arguing was a bother when trying to sleep. Otherwise you get what you pay for being a 2 or 3 star motel.

It's an older hotel, but that's ok. The front desk person was very kind to let me check in early, because my room was ready. Now the bad. The room door offered very little security, because it was without a dead bolt or safety latch. The office is only staffed from 9am until 6pm. Outside of those hours, you would have to call an emergency number. My room was close to Lakeshore Drive and was very noise from road traffic all the way to around midnight. Just for that reason, I wouldn't stay in any hotel on Lakeshore Drive, even with the great location. Book one or two blocks back and you save money and have a better experience.

This place needs a lot of work.

We were only in town for a music show and only stayed for one night. Beds were clean big room sufficient bathroom. It was everything we needed. Would recommend. And would go back again.

We had a microwave, coffee maker, cups ,wine glasses. We had just a basic room so everything was adequate for our needs.

I think that this hotel is in dire need of some renovations. The shower head in our bathroom was to be honest useless. We arrived and the floors in the hotel room were dirty. The towels were not something to be desired. The day we left, we could hear the next door unit talking and also cooking with the smells. The office did not open until 10am almost every day. It would be better to open at 9am as some people do check out earlier.

Overall, it was a great experience. Matt was very helpful and accommodated our late check in without any issues.

You don't stay here for the rooms. You stay for the proximity to the sandy beach so if you are looking for nothing more than a place to rest your head after a long day of activities then do it. If you are looking for anything more.....there are lots of options near the beach. We will try one of those next time.
