Welcoming staff,clean room, good facilities, breakfast rrom bar/restaurant were great

The room was spacious and clean but the air con didn’t work and the room was 27 degrees all night. There was basically no staff on hand and the ones that were there were overworked and not available for the most part. The meal in the evening was almost inedible the £30 steak was all gristle and I ordered a cheesy garlic bread which I came as a normal one, when I mentioned it to the waiter they didn’t do anything. When I asked for the bill I had to wait 30 minutes and also ask another waiter, eventually I was asked to pay at the bar which took over an hour as there was so many people there and only one person at the bar on a Saturday. Hoping that breakfast would be better after my awful sleep I came down and there was raw egg moldy fruit in the basket, the sausages and mushrooms were burnt and there wasn’t even an option to have cereal. A shame as the location and facilities looked nice but the service and overall experience was completely awful. Would not recommend stay there.

Had a fantastic stay, had everything we needed and the pub and restaurant was excellent. A special mention to the staff who were brilliant. Thank you for looking after us!

This is a nice place far enough from the main roads to feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. There is a good pub/restaurant attached. The rooms are very nice with top quality furniture.

The reality of the property is not the one which it was advertised. The room is very small, no fridge . The worse British breakfast which I had in my life. Very poor quality if breakfast. No proper service , very poor services. It is not worth with the high price that was advertised .

Excellent venue, very clean. Cooked breakfast was enough, also cereals on offer. Staff were warm and welcoming. Ample parking. If using resteraunt advisable to book in advance.

We had reason to request to move room and the staff were very accommodating and looked after us well - top marks for that. The evening dinner (pie of the day) was actually unexpectedly excellent and the accompanying veggies were nice and crisp - very enjoyable. The only minor quibble was that due to TV mounting it was next to impossible to get a HDMI stick plugged in (something maybe to check into). Anyhow, all in all, nicely situated and a nice place to stay at and all the staff we encountered were great.

Lovely room in a rural location. Fantastic for peace and quiet. WiFi was poor was only downside.

Lovely place. Restaurant is very nice. Close to Bakewell, get a pudding... So amazing, prefer it to the tart. The hotel breakfast is fantastic and staff are lovely. Blue light discount too.

A really nice setting. Room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Only thing we would suggest improvement was breakfast. Two choices of cereal with same gluten free options wasn’t enough in my opinion. I don’t like chocolate Krispies or muesli so as I didn’t want a hot breakfast it was just toast for me. It would have been nice if the croissants were warm too.

Room was lovely great view bed comfortable very clean and bathroom was really nice .breakfast was great and we had a lovely evening meal.staff very friendly.

Nice place in the country.

We stayed for one night and had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is set in a peaceful location, with comfortable beds, friendly staff, easy parking, and a good breakfast to start the day. The only drawbacks were the thin walls and the lack of direct access to the main building, which could be inconvenient on rainy or cold mornings. Still, it’s a solid choice for a quiet and comfortable stay.
