Gorgeous 200 year old house that is aesthetically pleasing. I was pleasantly surprised in the beauty and detail of this place. The staff were all friendly and spoke good English. The food was divine and the ambiance was welcoming and cozy. I would highly recommend this place

One of the best boutique hotels in Ecuador, got rich history throughout the walls with a vast collection of old artifacts from the past. A very enjoyable stay with nice staff and good rooms. We used this as our stop before an amazing ride up to Chimborazo. Highly recommended for those who seek comfort and history in one go.

The property is unique and very beautiful. It’s a 234 years old house with a lot of history; its library shows an interesting collection of local newspapers from the early 1920’s and 1940. Exellent food!

This place is fancy and very upscale. The rooms were spacious and clean, the lobby and restaurant nice. There are many side rooms; pool tables, library, etc and is very old fashioned looking with modern conveniences. The staff is polite and helpful. I was a bit uncomfortable because the staff (especially the restaurant helpers) acted more like servants than employees. They are dressed all in black and are very formal. The food is excellent and everyone extremely accommodating.

This hotel is full of character. Service was outstanding. Food at the restaurant was good. The staff treated us like royalty. If in the area, this is a great place to stay.

Family visit...12 of us plus driver. Right at the base of Mount Chimboraso. On a clear day the view is awesome.

We over-nighted here on the way from Quito to Cuenca. In the middle of nowhere Riobamba (not a pleasant or interesting city) there is this amazing resort. At the foot of a snow capped mountain, it reminded us of an upscale US ski resort. Excellent setting, grounds are spectacular and rooms are very spacious. The restaurant is spectacular - one of the best meals ever - and well priced.

The bartender was not a professional one. Everybody else was great. The natural flower's arragements, and the antiques give to the hotel a great atmosphere.

Love this place very much althought it is 16 KM from the city of Riobamba. Many taxi driver don't know this place when I arrived the bus terminal. A radio taxi charged me 17 dollars to reach there. However, you can catch any northbound bus at the terminal for just 50 cents to reach the hotel on the roadside of Panamericana Highway, about 1 km north after the toll. This is an elegant hosteria from an old building. You can enjoy the room and the public area for a couple of days stay. Great view of the Volcano Chimborazo is right outside the hotel. Trekking around should be a great pleasure. The breakfast is great with good service!

We stayed in Andaluza for 1 night. It is located in the outer limits of a small town called Riobamba. It was very easy to find as you can see it from the road. The staff was extremely friendly and you could feel that they just wanted to make you feel welcome. At the reception, they welcome you with a traditional drink called Canelazo, which is made of hot passion fruit juice and small amout of spirit... It was delicious. The rooms were neat and bed sheets were pristine. The building is all vintage and decorated with antique tools. Very well equiped with all basics, plus flower decorations and local fruits. We slept very comfortably. They have activities like horse riding and cow milking which you have to reserve the day before. The food was delicious, both local and international cousine. Definitely, their best asset are the views as the hotel is surrounded by mountains. A place to rest, relax and recharge your energies. We just hoped you could stay longer.

We had difficulty actually finding hotel having downloaded incorrect directions and arriving at night. There would have been no difficulty had we arrived in daylight hours as La Andaluza is just off the Pan American highway. Hotel is reminiscent of Swiss Mountain Lodge and is huge and rambling with great character. Staff were helpful and efficient both at reception and in the restaurant. Room was large and spacious and rose petals on the bed was a nice touch. Bathroom was OK but could do with an upgrade. Great location but not close to other amenities.
