The view of the harbor and bridge were wonderful! Breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly

We stayed in room 6 which is very charming but challenging for loads of luggage (it being on the top landing) but has an exceptional view of the area. The town is lousy for parking, but the process of unloading/ loading your car is just a matter of good timing or a little patience. It has an authentic coastal bar with plenty of character and a great atmosphere. Their breakfasts were always prepared fresh to order and quite delicious. We were 100% satisfied with the whole experience overall, and I hope they continue to thrive there.. but we will be packing lighter bags next time.

Central location was marvelous. Bed not very comfortable. Breakfast not good... bacon overdone and hard, sausages overcooked. The vegetarian sausages were very hard and uneatable. That said, the prime location made up for it..... Oh, one last thing.... a single vodka... £4.60

The location was excellent! I love the room and the staff was fabulous except for the bartender and person in charge on evenings! He was rude and unaccommodating. He’s a type of person that ruins a perfect evaluation! Everything there was perfect except for him, and I recommend that the establishment replace him. I saw him being rude to others as well.

good central location nice clean room good breakfast very expensive as was bank holiday weekend. twice the price of normal would stay again but not at bank holiday prices

Excellent stay all round. Really clean and tidy for a busy pub. Staff were very helpful and obliging. Lady cleaning rooms was a star and ex-Navy guy at breakfast taking orders and serving was a great guy. Breakfast was superb. We will be back !!!

Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking and luggage drop off is a challenge, especially when special events are happening in Whitby.

This is a room in a pub. But our room was to a high standard and almost large enough to be a suite. Absolutely in the centre of Whitby. Breakfast was good and hearty too. Could do with more power sockets in the room, though.

Very warm and roomy

Yes- very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Could have done with a bit more cupboard space and bathroom could have done with a shelf. Breakfast was good and immaculate tablecloths. A lift would have been helpful as we were on the top floor.

We found the Dolphin to be clean throughout, the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the window was excellent well cooked and presented.

Fantastic location! Walked with bags from the station, immediate access to great streets with shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants. Team courteous n helpful. Room & bathroom clean just not absolutely spotless. Was in room 5 and it was small with not much of a view but entirely comfortably for one person. Breakfast was hot and cook/server couldn’t have been kinder. And my bags were carried up and down which was really appreciated. Would stay again
