A great location for visiting the coast which was quiet considering how close it was to a main road. A lovely clean room with all necessary features. The breakfast was good. I would stay there again.

Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat.

Our room and ensuite were clean and bright. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal we had was very tasty and well prepared. The location was just below the South Downs and in a beautiful little village just a short walk to the Wilmington Giant.

Charming village pub with tasteful, understated period decor throughout. Our room and the whole premises were clean, comfortable and well maintained. Staff were helpful and plenty of local information (books, guides etc.) was provided.The only disappointment was the food; what we ate was of good quality and well prepared but choice was limited, especially at breakfast.

Very welcoming hotel, in a countryside location with lots of walks nearby. Dogs welcome. Excellent food.

Just a shame they didn’t offer cereals or yoghurts etc at breakfast for those who don’t like a cooked breakfast. I just ended up with toast which seemed a bit poor for the price of the room.

Big clean room and shower, welcoming staff

Beautifully redesigned interior with fresh colours and period furniture. We loved all the details such as the books and real art work by local artists in the bedroom. Lovely bar and good breakfast with a great display of art on the theme of the Long Man. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for visiting The Long Man and Lewes.

Lovely staff, food and facilities!

The couple who run this place, are very friendly. The whole place is in good order, the room we had was nice and comfortable with a nice shower. The food we had was excellent. We would stay here again.

Nice pub with lovely rooms. I had to leave before the allotted breakfast time but they kindly provided a breakfast box with a croissant and pastries.
