The room was adequate; however, there was no hot water, and the bathroom had mold. In other rooms next to ours it was boiling hot. Understanding the meal service was quite challenging, as it took 90 minutes to receive dinner. Additionally, the hotel is not just a 3-minute walk from the lake and other attractions as advertised. I will not take guests there again.

We stayed 1 night en route to Ella. Great room. Enormous comfortable bed. Dinner was delicious. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. They arranged a driver to take us to Ella because the train wasn’t working. Thank you!!

Met at Reception by the friendly Reception staff who made the check-in process really easy. Room was as exactly as the photos portrayed. Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom. Location was perfect as it was close enough to the Lake but quiet. Perfect for a stay in Kandy.

The room was spacious and comfortable and the food was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but seemed rather inexperienced

Clean rooms , location . Wildlife views , great location for bird spotting and to watch the monkeys . Saw the kingfisher and plenty of monkeys from our balcony .Breakfast excellent. Would return , staff friendly and helpful especially Dilrakshi.

Very classy, well furnished, clean hotel with superlative views. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremelly attentive, friendly and accomodating. This was easily the best hotel i stayed in within the cultural center of SL. If i returned to Kandy i would stay here again, hands down? Superb value as well, highly recommended

Very friendly staff, especially Adesh who patiently helped me get my luggage it to the top floor (and back down again at check out). Room was lovely with great mountainside views. Clean, comfy beds. Linens were a bit run down, but clean.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The views overlooking Kandy were stunning and made every moment feel special. The breakfast was fresh, generous, and a great start to each day. Its close location to the train station was incredibly convenient. A great place to stay with excellent value and comfort.

We had a fantastic stay at Cassendra Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was perfectly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a perfect place to relax after a long day. A special mention to Dilrukshi, who truly made our stay feel like home. Her warm hospitality and genuine care made such a difference she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thanks to the friendly service and peaceful atmosphere.I would definitely recommend Cassendra Hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and well-managed place to stay. Great place

It is nice property to stay. It got a good view over the valley. It is cheap to get a tuk tuk to city area. Staffs are very efficient and helpful.

Staff are absolutely spot on, on the ball, very friendly. The hotel is very clean, rooms have amazing views over the valley. The rooms here were some of my nices on my trip to Sri Lanka. Naughty Monkeys pay a visit occasionally too! Its little put of town but going downhill, ypu can be in the centre of Kandy by walking in 10 mins. Coming back.... get a Tuk tuk!

Hotel Cassendra was a real find. The staff were so lovely and really couldn't do enough to make my stay more pleasant. No question or request was too great or small for them. It is up a steep hill so.wpuld make quite a hike from Kandy but its maybe 300 rupees in a tuk tuk to get up. Very easy to walk down into Kandy however, and it also passes the viewpoint. When you get to the Royal park, there is a lane to the right of it and that ia a handy shortcut into town. It's honesly only a 10min walk. Rooms were lovely, really smart. Breakfast a little limited but it did vary each day and there was something for everyone. Overall it was just great value for money and nice to be set back a little bit off the main drag in Kandy.

Cassendra staff eere welcoming and helpful - even before I arrived. They helped me find affordable transport for a day trip and when needed were able to serve my dinner extra quickly. Wifi was touch and go but ultimately held for a few video calls. The hotel is a bit old but rooms are spacious and clean with great bathrooms. The location is know to tuktuk drivers and the mountain offers amazing views. Its also very close to the best Kandyan dancers (5 min walk) and a view point!

Best hotel in Sri Lanka so far, I even took selfies with staff! If I’m gonna visit Kandy, would definitely will stay this place again. Thank you, hotel Cassendra.
