The hotel is right inside the airport. In terminal two. It is intended to be a stopping place when you have a long layover, not a place to reside for any long period of time. For example, there is no shower and the bathroom is literally down the hall in the terminal, not inside the hotel. You book by twelve hour periods. But if you have a long layover, it's a fabulous opportunity. I would absolutely stay there again.

Capsule hotel at Chengdu Tianfu international airport (not Chengdu Shuangliu, where there is another one). The hotel is in Terminal 2 (T2), at the north end of the Arrivals level (when walking from T1 to T2, turn left when you reach T2, and the hotel is on the right after 100 meters just past the police office). The staff there do not really speak English. They talk into a mobile phone in Chinese, which translates to English text. The sleeping pods themselves are comfortable and clean. A swipe card is already inserted next to a central console used to control all of the lights. Remove this card if leaving the pod, and use this to regain entry. To slide the door open from the inside, press down the metal bolt holding it shut. To operate the interior lights, insert the swipe card into the centre controller console in the pod, and press buttons on the controller. Use the public toilets outside the hotel. Because the hotel is before security, if you are using it to sleep between flights, as a transit hotel, you will need to immigrate into China to get to it if arriving at T1 (international). To do this when you land, at Arrivals first go to the fingerprint machines, insert your passport, and it will output a slip (without requiring me to present my fingers as a UK citizen). Then at the Immigration desks, on the right is a section to apply for a temp visa. Fill in the landing card, putting the address of this hotel, and give it to the guy to check.
