-What you can expect- The Golden Circle is the name commonly given to a combination of three sites of special significance in the west of Iceland. These sites are the Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area and the Gullfoss waterfall, all of which are included in this day tour, but this excursion includes two additional and unmissable stops for a complete experience.Your tour will start in Reykjavik where you will board a minibus that fits a maximum of 18 passengers. The group is kept small so you can have a more intimate experience in each of the visited sites. Your first stop will be at the Kerid crater lake which will strike you with its bright blue-green water and stark black surrounds. You will then visit the fabulous Fridheimar Farm where you will enjoy a guided visit in the farm's renowned stables and greenhouses.Following these stops you will visit each of the Golden Circle's quintessential attractions, starting with Gulfoss to see what is considered to be the country's most beautiful waterfall. Your penultimate stop will be the Great Geysir where you'll be able to see 20-meter high eruptions, before heading to the Thingvellir National Park, a historic landmark in Iceland. Not only is this where the country's parliament was established in 930, it is also a UNESCO heritage listed site and the best place on earth to view the North Atlantic Divergent Ridge.
