We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was incredibly smooth, and the welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is quite large and can feel a bit like a maze, but thankfully, the rooms and hallways are very well signposted, so finding our way around was never an issue.
Our room was incredibly spacious, featuring a very comfortable bed that guaranteed a great night's sleep. The bathroom had a generous, good-sized bath with a shower over it—perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring.
One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was the hotel bar's happy hour. We enjoyed a fantastic 2-for-1 deal on cocktails, which made for a fun and affordable start to the evening!
The next morning, we were treated to a buffet-style breakfast with an impressive variety of choices, ensuring there was something for everyone. To top it all off, the hotel's location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of town, making it incredibly easy to walk to nearby shops and attractions.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Only thing I'd like to see change is that they should add some sand to the tennis courts, as it's often raining, can be tricky and dangerous to play a proper match

We booked and it wasn’t ready at 2pm and then we got (they said) upgraded but our room was musty and right near the pub and parking was miles away and it was pouring. We went to the Lorne hotel for dinner which was amazing and came back and we were locked out of our room (almost midnight) and it took reception over 20+ minutes to arrive. We had a buffet. Breakfast included also and it was awful. There was a group of 15 of us so thank goodness we had company as the accomodation was a 2/10

The Mantra is made up of a number of buildings, the largest with reception, restaurant, pool and other amenities then appartments doted around the property. I found the grounds to be well maintained. The room was clean but thought the common areas to look a bit tired.
The spa which heats the remaining pool with its lava hot water.
Breakfast was good with plenty of options.

We loved our stay at Mantra Lorne, the location was fabulous and the apartment style room was great when travelling with a baby. The room however was a little tired, and had mould. The pool area was also dirty and disappointingly the steam room facilities were out of order.

We’ve been coming to Mantra Lorne almost every year for at least a decade now. A few times there was a little something not quite right but okay, like the counters feeling tacky. But this year was bad, the headboard of the bed was visibly dirty (some sort of snot on it), the mirrors had children hands and fingerprints on them, the blind shutters were difficult to close/open. The water in the pool spa area, which we used to like, was cold like the rest of the pool (the spa section used to be warm) and once the water bubbles were gone we saw dirt piles at the bottom of it. Also my husband pulled out two clumps of hair out of the pool…

Breakfast was very good, nice, fresh selection of food and quite tasty.
Staff were friendly.
I requested an ocean view, twin room, instead we got a king size bed with partial view of the sea.
The shower was terrible, we had to turn on basin tap for the hot water to work properly, and the shower pressure was not very good at all.
The heat pump settings didn't work very well.
The rooms are not serviced daily.

We were welcomed by a friendly, efficient customer service assistant who made sure we had everything we needed.
Our room and the whole property is very well maintained. We were very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good and I was able to get gluten free food.
