myNext - Westbahnhof Hostel One

A little bit far from city center, but there is a big station nearby, which was convenient. Shared rooms did not have bunk bed, which was very nice. There were many extension cord all over the place in the middle of the room because power plugs were not sufficient. People tripping all the time.

This hostel appeared exactly as advertised in the photos. All the desk staff we encountered were very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was a quiet crowd of all kinds of people. Our stay was pleasant and problem free.

Overall the property is completely adequate and has all you need if you’re planning on spending the day out in the city. The rooms are just dorm rooms for college students in the area and not as ‘sexy/chic’ looking as the pictures on the website want to make them look. They’re just very basic. The breakfast buffet was however great, backyard patio very pleasant and the location very convenient.

The hostel is in a great location, very close to the West Bahnhof train station and just a few stops on the fast subway into the heart of Vienna. There's cheap eats and supermarkets nearby. My two nights there were comfortable but I thought it lacked personality and soul. My first impression of the hostel was that it was money-grabbing money-grabbing their invitation to pay extra to check-in early or check-out late. I was able to leave my bags in the unattended/unlocked bar area while I went out to get lunch before 3pm check-in but then almost had to beg to check in 30 mins early, even though my bed was already ready. The 4 (single not bunk) bed female dorm with en suite was relatively small although there were cupboards/underbed drawers to put your things. The hostel kitchen didn't have a fridge (there was one in each room instead) and most of the cupboards were locked. There was a little lockable safe with a power board for 4 sockets for each person, but these boards weren't plugged in anywhere. There was just 1 wall plug socket with an extension cable and a power board but that would leave 2 sockets between 4 people as the fridge and fan were plugged in. Reception was able to provide another extension cable and power board, which meant that all 4 power boards in the lockable safes could be plugged in but that then meant that there were wires trailing across the room as a trip hazard.

Beds are to firm. Extra towel costs more. No shampoo or body washers. Breakfast breads are sometimes not the freshest

I got the private room with private bath on the 5th floor. The room was not clean at all with hairs all over the floor. The shower stall doesn't drain at all. After 30 seconds of shower, I would need to stop as the water will be to my ankle level and will need to wait for a minute or two to let the water drain. I stayed in the first week of August and the room was baking hot anytime of the day. I will have the fan running and I would still sweat throughout the night. Couldn't really get a good night sleep. Maybe it's just my luck of the draw where my room has direct sunlight all the time. Location of the hostel is pretty good. Short metro ride to the city center.

It was ok. Breakfast buffet was adequet. Staff were young and nice trainees.

Hostel bem localizado, estação perto, para todos os pontos turísticos o acesso fica fácil. Na estação tem um shopping ao lado com diversas opções. Bem próximo encontra-se a avenida Mariahilfer, tem todo tipo de loja e restaurantes. O café da manhã muito bom, valor justo

Stayed two nights in 4 beds dormitory. It was clean, quiet enough. Conveniently located next to the west train station. Only the bathroom fan was noisy at night, but nothing unbearable.

Das Hostel ist verkehrstechnisch günstig gelegen und das Frühstück ist wirklich super.

Since there were lots of good comments here and so did my friend and I confirmed to stay here in Wien. The room is nothing special but somehow we both had a great sleep (maybe the weather of Wien?) The common kitchen is good to have while there will be cleaning once per every 2/3 days of your stay. Can't wait to mention the staff are really helpful! One mid-night i was planning to a hospital nearby and they helped me calling to the hospitals nearby, explained my current situation and check if a dr could come instead of me going outside...Super big thanks to the staff!

Buon ostello situato nei pressi della Westbahnhof e a due passi dalla fermata di metro e dalla celebre Mariahilfer Straße. Staff alla reception disponibile.

Tutto come previsto personale gentile e disponibile. Unico inconveniente il mercoledì sera la doccia erogata solo acqua fredda,comunque il giorno dopo tutto e ritornato regolare .Punto di grande comodità la stazione centrale Peccato che le linee dei pullman che conducono dalla aereoporto a questa stazione non effettuano servizio dopo mezzanotte ,penalizzano se si arriva tardi in aeroporto. In ogni caso la struttura è molto discreta da consigliare per una vacanza .
