A lovely hotel on the edge of the old town, so everything is easily reachable on foot, or tram if you wish to venture a little further afield or don't like to walk. Very friendly, helpful staff, lovely room, a nice gym/spa area & very good breakfast, decent value for 25 euros. A great base, therefore, to explore a lovely city.

Look no further. I was in Graz for the half marathon, traveling solo, and was immediately drawn to the Schlossberghotel due to its location but also for the interior, a combination of modern art and historical furniture and effects. My room was large, with a wooden floor and huge windows that swung open over an interior courtyard allowing me fresh air in the quiet. I had an enormous walk in closet, a gorgeous modern bathroom and a fabulous bed and bedding. The service was excellent - loved the front desk staff- and the hotel was immaculate. Delicious coffee and breakfast. Also, the terraced patio in the back offered incredible views of the city. Highly recommend.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area even though it’s walkable to a very nice area of the old town. Rooms were comfortable. The staff made the stay feel like home to me. We highly recommend this hotel.

This was our first time visiting Graz, Austria, as a stop on our way to Vienna. The town itself is very charming, and the hotel is located just 18 minutes away from Arnold Schwarzenegger's hometown and museum in Thal, a great side trip for fans.
We arrived at 1 AM, and the hotel reception was incredibly accommodating despite the late hour. Our room was surprisingly spacious, with a large living area that gave the impression of staying in a private home divided into suites. The many large windows and cozy layout added to the warm, residential feel.
The bed was very comfortable, and the overall ambiance was relaxing. The lobby featured a large, comfortable seating area, and the staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful.
One thing worth mentioning is the choice of artwork near the room. Some pieces, particularly a painting of a woman pointing a gun at her head while having birthday cake, felt a bit unsettling and might be considered offensive to some guests. While art is subjective, this piece stood out as a strange choice in an otherwise peaceful setting.
Overall, it's a unique and welcoming hotel with a lot of character,especially great if you're looking for something different from a typical chain stay.

The hotel was located about a 6 minute walk to Old town which was an easy walk and right on the river. It was very close to the vernacular that takes you to the Schlossberg. It was a nice enough hotel but nothing fancy. Staff were very friendly.

I absolutely loved that it was walking distance to town . The property inside was beautiful every room was unique in its own way . The sauna and red light room was so relaxing especially after a long walk in the winter month . Breakfasts in the morning was fresh they made sure that we were all done before they closed the buffet . Fresh food was served when we came . Couldn’t ask for a better in this city.
