The entire Abezza resort experience from pick-up to drop off at the Airport was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better experience in a more beautiful and magical place! We truly enjoyed our stay, and we WILL be back. The level of service was impeccable, and the dining was a dream come true. Amenities and lodging were top notch! The excursions were organized, efficient, and extremely enjoyable creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime! I can't say enough good things about Abezza and our experience. My words can really not do justice to how absolutely awesome our experience was. The best way to sum it up is that we truly felt like family and not guests. The Abezza has set the bar high for Belize resorts, and we look forward to many more visits in their jungle paradise! Cheers, Jimmy and Jess

This resort was amazing. The pools were crystal clear and we had a private pool most of our stay. The staff spoiled us. It isn't totally modern, but had everything we needed. Cobblestone paths and tiled pools. It was just the right amount of rustic and comfort. The tile could be a bit slippery, so bring water shoes. Hibiscus flowers everywhere. The food was delicious and fresh. Melanie gave us a tour of the grounds and was so knowledgeable about the plants and animals. The drivers were also knowledgeable about the local culture. I would have stayed here the entire trip, if I had know how lovely it would be. We basically entered paradise as soon s we went through the gates. Thank you to Melanie and all her staff for an unforgettable experience. If I return to Belize, I would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful funky spa in jungle. Our stay was very good and we toured Maya sites and took a river tour. We did not use the spa facilities as it isnโ€™t our thing. Be aware that it is on the old north highway which is poorly maintained. I.e. many potholes in the paved road and much of the road is gravel.

This was our second time staying at Abezza, but it won't be our last! The first time we only stayed a single night, as we were driving around the country ourselves. We were a little unsure of what we would be arriving at, as it's a bit off the beaten path(it's not like you'll wander onto the property off the street in Belize City). It's about an hour drive; very scenic! Our second time we stayed a few nights as a parents getaway, and got to actually enjoy the different pools. We had a hot tub in our room which was very awesome! The food was delicious, the staff were always courteous, and we adore Mel & her family. They're very welcoming and down to earth. The rooms we had were clean, and we didn't experience any issue. I'd highly recommend Abezza (formerly Belize Boutique Resort & Spa) to anyone looking for a relaxing time in nature. My only recommendation would be, try to stay for around 5 nights. You'll have time to do some exploring, but also make sure you aren't off property all day every day because it's so nice to relax doing nothing but enjoying the environment! Can't wait til we return. One thing, make sure you write down their address because Belize immigration will want to know where you're staying at. Apparently it's a true hidden gem because the person we got didn't know what "Abezza, the resort in Maskall" was. We simply showed him the booking info and he made some note and that was that.

This is the perfect resort if you need quiet, to unwind, detox and relax. It's in rural Maskall Village and an hour away from the airport, set in the jungle. Aside from a couple of restaurants that looked like houses in the neighborhood, there were no surrounding businesses. The staff was super efficient and knew where we were at all times. Melanie is an awesome property manager and was on top of everything the whole time. She arranged our airport transfers and we were able to communicate for everything we needed via Whatsapp. Gloria and Sandy were everything when it was time to eat! ๐Ÿ˜‹ The food there was prepared from the freshest ingredients and was super delicious. Amilcar took us on a medicinal hike, and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding vegetation and their healing properties. Marcella and Marleni at the spa gave us the best body scrub, body wrap, and massage services! Took all the toxins and put me right to sleep each time! ๐Ÿ’ค ๐Ÿ˜ด ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ This is the perfect, out of the way, off the beaten path resort to relax and rejuvenate, with an emphasis on detoxing and holisticness. I definitely recommend.

Property itself was beautiful. On the first day issues with the wifi for the whole day. On the last night after getting a massage again wifi down with no notice from staff, when my friend asked about it she got told 3 different answers all from different members of staff. The food was okay the best was the ceviche, menu could be more flavorful, seemed repetitive and not authentic to Belize culture. Unless you have your own car and cell service youโ€™re pretty much stuck on the property which was definitely a learning experience. They do offer transportation and some excursions. I chose to leave the resort for two days to enjoy more of what Belize had to offer. Although a beautiful property I would not return or recommend unless you plan on saying there the whole time and not a foodie.
